A little story behind this piece…

The family asked for Queen Anne’s lace, which I had growing in my landscape.

When I went out to gather it the morning of, I noticed it wasn’t at its peak.

I told my husband I felt bad I wasn’t able to use the Queen Anne’s and would need to substitute.

Within an hour, he and the kids sourced a vase full for the spray.

I love this whimsical little life,

and the arrangement turned out magical.🌹

Tree time 🌳

I’ve had one of the most rewarding weeks of my career so far.

Not only externally, but internally, too.

I decided to take a minute to thank my big beautiful tree for everything she does.

And btw her name is Patricia now. After my grandma, obviously.

You can think I’m a weird tree hugger.

She and I will go places regardless.

I move, she remains my center.

Congratulations on completing year one, Jamie!

I’ve probably leaned on this girl more than anyone else since starting my own journey. So many times I was able to exhale and say “okay, it’s not just me.”

Forever grateful she exists at the same time as me. Here’s to many more years 🫶🏻

Iconic. ✨

The Sumner Sunset Theater sign is one of my favorite landmarks in our community.

It reminds me of the Chicago Theatre sign.

I do wish our sign said “SUMNER,” and maybe one day it will.

But this landmark is anything but ordinary for a small town, and that doesn’t go unnoticed.

Somewhere along the way, I’ve realized my favorite city isn’t Chicago after all.

It’s the one where I get to live, work, build a business and raise my family.

Right here in the City With A Future.🌹

If you’re a creative doing anything meaningful in the world, you will, at some point, get ripped apart by someone doing less than you.
