Life of a Wedding Photographer — Martin Photography 📸

At Martin Photography, we love making wedding days look effortless. But behind every beautiful gallery is a whole lot of planning, prep, and hustle that most people never see. Here’s a peek at what really goes into it…

A year or more before – It starts with conversations about your vision, your venue, and which package fits your needs. This is where we start building a relationship and a plan.

6 months before – Your engagement session! We get to know you, see how you interact, and talk through what your wedding day might look like. Then it’s time to edit, deliver your photos, and post a few favorites to share the excitement.

The week before – We touch base on final details, confirm timelines, research your venue, and figure out exactly what gear to bring.

The night before – Every battery is charged, gear double-checked, car loaded, and gas tank filled.

Wedding morning – Coffee first (always ☕). Clothes ironed, weather checked, poses and ideas running through my head, cooler packed with snacks and water — then it’s off to your big day.

On the wedding day – From the moment we arrive, we’re on our feet, ready to capture every glance, laugh, and unexpected moment. We’re moving non-stop, grabbing quick bites when we can, and maybe sitting for a few minutes all day. By the end of 10 hours, we’re mentally drained, feet aching… but so grateful to have witnessed it all.

The day after – Gear unpacked, batteries recharged, thousands of images uploaded and backed up. We choose a handful of sneak peeks to share — giving you and your guests a first taste of your day.

The next 1–2 weeks – Sorting through 2,000–3,000 images to narrow it down to the best 500–800. Then each one gets individually tweaked in Lightroom until it’s perfect. Finally, your gallery is delivered — ready for you to relive every moment.

And that’s the life of a wedding photographer at Martin Photography.

To say this was the most beautiful and moving faith-filled wedding I’ve ever witnessed would be an understatement. Every moment was overflowing with emotion, intention, and the kind of love that only comes from putting God at the center. 💍🙏

Kiki & Riley, the way you honored your faith and each other was powerful and unforgettable. I had to fight back tears just to make sure I captured every second. You thought of every detail — the setting, the ceremony, the people — and it all came together so perfectly. The venue was stunning, the weather couldn’t have been better, and the love was undeniable.

I feel truly blessed to have been there to witness your day and help you preserve it forever. And let me tell you… we made some incredible images. 📸✨
