🔥💪🏾 WELLNESS WEDNESDAY
Happy Wednesday, everybody!
This morning, I’m reminding myself of something important: THE SCALE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO MEASURE SUCCESS!
I’m focused on becoming stronger, improving my endurance, protecting my mobility, and building habits that will keep me active for years to come.
I DIDN’T COME THIS FAR TO STOP NOW!
🏋🏾♂️ WEDNESDAY’S WORKOUT: UPPER-BODY RESISTANCE + CARDIO ENDURANCE!
Yesterday was kettlebell conditioning and core work. Today, I’m switching things up with resistance-band training.
💪🏾 Resistance chest presses
💪🏾 Seated resistance-band rows
💪🏾 Standing biceps curls
💪🏾 Band triceps extensions
💪🏾 Light shoulder exercises
I’m concentrating on controlled movements, good form, and challenging my muscles without putting unnecessary stress on my joints.
EVERY WORKOUT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE HEAVY TO BE EFFECTIVE!
🚴🏾♂️ MY CARDIO COMMITMENT CONTINUES!
✅ 20 minutes on the stationary bike every morning.
✅ Another 20 minutes every evening.
That’s 40 minutes of daily cycling!
Today, I’m concentrating on maintaining a steady pace and gradually improving my endurance.
I’m also incorporating additional walking when possible.
🏊🏾♂️ Over the next several weeks, I plan to introduce swimming and short jump-rope intervals as additional cardio options.
I’m not rushing the process. I’m building my conditioning gradually and listening to my body.
⏰ INTERMITTENT FASTING: 11 AM–8 PM
One lesson this journey continues to teach me is that YOU CAN’T SEPARATE FITNESS FROM NUTRITION!
Exercise helps me build strength and improve cardiovascular health, but what I eat plays a major role in managing my weight.
🥗 TODAY’S HEALTHY FOOD FOCUS:
🥣 Plain Greek yogurt with strawberries and chia seeds.
🐟 Grilled trout with quinoa and steamed asparagus.
🫘 Lentil soup with a side of fresh vegetables.
🍐 A fresh pear with a small handful of almonds.
💧 And plenty of water throughout the day!
I’m paying attention to portions, protein, fiber, and hydration.
No crash diets. No starving myself. Just healthier choices I can maintain.
🔥 RECOVERY IS PART OF MY ROUTINE!
I also enjoy both steam and dry sauna sessions about 3–4 times per week.
For me, sauna time is about relaxation, unwinding, and giving myself time to recover mentally after a busy day.
It’s not a substitute for exercise or a shortcut to fat loss. And staying hydrated before and after those sessions is especially important.
💯 MY WELLNESS WEDNESDAY MESSAGE:
Sometimes we become so focused on the number on the scale that we forget to recognize everything else we’re accomplishing.
If you can walk farther without getting tired, that’s progress.
If you’re lifting weights with better control, that’s progress.
If you’re making healthier food choices, that’s progress.
If you’re staying committed when the results aren’t coming as quickly as you’d like, THAT’S DISCIPLINE!
I’ve already lost 30 pounds, and I’m proud of that accomplishment.
But I’m even more proud of the habits I’m developing along the way.
I’M NOT JUST TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT. I’M WORKING TO IMPROVE MY QUALITY OF LIFE!
And if you’re reading this while thinking about starting your own journey, here’s my encouragement for today:
Don’t wait until Monday.
Don’t wait until you buy new workout clothes.
Don’t wait until you have the perfect equipment.
START WHERE YOU ARE, WITH WHAT YOU HAVE!
Take that first walk. Get on that bike. Make that healthier meal.
Small actions repeated consistently can lead to meaningful changes over time.
🔥 THE SCALE MAY BE MOVING SLOWLY, BUT I’M STILL MOVING FORWARD!
💪🏾 DISCIPLINE. CONSISTENCY. PROGRESS.
THE JOURNEY CONTINUES!
