It's 2025!

Give STL Day is our city's largest annual celebration of nonprofits and the support they receive from people like you. Each year, The Sheldon brings world-class music and art to our community through our concert hall, art galleries, and education programs.

The Sheldon has been a community gathering space for over 100 years thanks to grassroots support from St. Louisans — today, we ask that you help sustain the magic of live music in our concert hall by making a donation at givestlday.org.

Help us make music in 2025!

We threw a SOLID birthday party! Yesterday, The Sheldon and the Saint Louis Science Center, our partner in this program, celebrated 10 years of Science of Learning Instrument Design (SOLID). The event allowed families to enjoy the creative musical instruments created by their imaginative elementary school students. In the 10 years since the program launched, we have reached 244 schools and 28,168 students. Those are some pretty "SOLID" numbers! Congratulations to all of the students who had work on display!

Happy birthday! Tomorrow we celebrate 10 years of SOLID (Science of Learning Instrument Design)! The Sheldon presents this STEAM learning opportunity in partnership with the Saint Louis Science Center. The program challenges students to design and create musical instruments from recycled materials.

The party is tomorrow, May 6, from 4 - 7 p.m., featuring displays of student-designed instruments in the Sheldon Ballroom and Sheldon Art Gallery. Help us honor these young artists, the teachers, and partners who make this program so special. Enjoy cake and lemonade, too! This event is free and open to the public.
