That’s a wrap! Evolution Festival was founded to celebrate music, food, and community—and this year, that mission grew even deeper.

In response to the devastating tornado that hit St. Louis in May, a portion of ticket sales and overall festival proceeds are being donated to United Way of Greater St. Louis’ Storm Relief Fund to support families impacted by the storm.

From Lenny Kravitz to Sublime, from local bites to big moments—thank you for showing up, singing loud, and being part of something bigger than a festival.

Celebrating 50 Years!

1968 - Contemporary is founded

1969 - Contemporary books the Grateful Dead to play the Fox Theater in St. Louis, our first entry onto the national stage.

1976 - Contemporary produces the first SUPERJAM featuring Jefferson Starship, Ted Nugent, Fleetwood Mac and Jeff Beck.

1991 - Contemporary opens Riverport Ampitheater, hosting famous artists including Jimmy Buffet, Pearl Jam, the Who and the infamous Guns n’ Roses Riot.
