That feeling of trying to keep your s**t together while you are seeing your person for the first time coming down the aisle. (yes, we swear sometimes around here)

The ceremony is such a huge part in a wedding day for a couple that it's no surprise that there are extra emotions when seeing each other for the first time.

Are you team first look pre-ceremony or down the aisle?

"Leave your guests behind for a casual ride on Lake Union"

L&K wanted a wedding celebration where guests could enjoy the amazing Seattle city skyline so choosing a yacht club on the water where they could bring in electric boats seemed like a no-brainer.

Guests enjoyed the boats all night, but when it came time for golden hour, they took a cruise by themselves to enjoy a bit of calm away from the party.

In all of the excitement of spring break and events over the past couple of weeks, I didn't get a chance to celebrate the fact that earlier this month we officially hit 9 years in business!

9 years.
daaaaaang.

There are days when I wonder why people reach out to me for advice but then there are plenty more when I feel confident and ready to jump into action with resources and problem-solving abilities.

Thank you always, to our clients and creative vendor partners for trusting us to help provide the best experience for everyone involved. Your trust means the world to me. Truly.

Cheers to 9 years and hopefully many more!

When the request is for a 70's funk party based off an old WA license plate: some red, some blue, but not patriotic feeling.

Game on.

We loved putting together lava lamps, beaded curtains and a party atmosphere that was unlike any other reception L&K's guests had been to.

A huge thanks to our funky vendor team:

If you're looking for a sign to do a private last dance while your guests are waiting to say goodbye to you, let this be it.

Bonus points for having an elevated platform for your photographer to shoot from 😍

Seriously though, this is a fun way to cap off an amazing day together and gives you that one final moment to really soak in the day.

J&T were a vibe everywhere they went.

From the Lotte Hotel, to the Conservatory inside Volunteer park for their ketubah signing to the Seattle Asian Art Museum for their ceremony and reception. Their wedding day was filled with friends, family, tradition and so much style.

Thank you, Jade and Tomer, for trusting me with your wedding day.

From their Google review:
"She stood up for our vision, advocated for our ideas, and made sure everything reflected what we wanted. Her calm presence, thoughtful communication, and ability to take the lead made a huge difference. We truly got to enjoy our wedding without any worries."

There are a couple of things I always tell my clients when starting the design process:

1. This is not my event and I don't get hurt by you saying you don't like something I present to you. It's my job to bring YOUR vision to life, not my vision.

2. There will be a lot of things that aren't exactly represented in the inspiration photos we use. We are creating a unique event which means some things are going to have to be imagined until they come to fruition day-of. The key is assembling a vendor team who is creative and can bring ideas together to create something new. That's when the magic happens.

This wedding, for example, was one in which the couple brought forth the idea of a cotton candy sunset color palette and feel. 🌌

We ended up using a different color napkin for each long table that helped reflect the colors of the sunset. Karrie then took the color palette and ran with it and created some gorgeous florals to go with.

There isn't anything like this on Pinterest which can be scary. Our couple trusted our experience and knowledge and we are so happy and grateful they did. 🥂
