Santa Rosa Symphony

Santa Rosa Symphony https://bit.ly/m/santarosasymphony More than 65,000 people attend concerts or music education programs each year.

Santa Rosa Symphony in our 98th season and under the baton of conductor Francesco Lecce-Chong, we strive to inspire audiences with powerful performances, innovative programming, and a commitment to musical excellence. In addition to the musical offerings and musician training listed above, the Symphony's music education outreach consists of: pre-concert talks, free concerts for youth (8 per year,

nearly 8,000 total attendance), an in-school daily music listening program (over 250 classrooms), in-school performances by professional ensembles, and a music immersion program for 4 selected elementary schools each year, including curriculum materials. The organization has won recognition for community involvement with such projects as A Child of Our Time (Met Life Award for Excellence in Community Engagement) and benefit concerts such as one following Hurricane Katrina. The symphony has a 36-member board of directors, an administrative staff of 14 (includes part and full time), 6 artistic staff, 9 academic faculty (summer), and over 100 volunteers (ushers, concert help, parent help, Symphony League)

We had a blast celebrating our concertmaster of nearly 30 years, Joe Edelberg, during our Shakespeare in Music Classical Series performances. The entire weekend felt like a true celebration of Joe’s incredible legacy, and we are deeply grateful for everything he has given the Symphony over the past 29 years.

As you swipe through this carousel, you’ll see just how much he is loved and appreciated by his fellow musicians, staff, and our community—from heartfelt tributes and surprise musical moments to standing ovations that said it all.

Highlights include:
1. A compilation video from the weekend
2. A proclamation honoring Joe from the City of Santa Rosa
3. Santa Rosa Mayor Mark Stapp presenting the proclamation
4. President & CEO Andrew Bradford at our post-concert champagne and cupcake celebration
5. A surprise musical tribute for Joe, including a personalized ditty by Principal Trombone Bruce Chrisp (video courtesy of )
6. A performance by SRS English Horn player Jesse Barrett, joined by Symphony musicians (video courtesy of Stacey)
7. A raucous ovation for Joe, courtesy of

Thank you, Joe, for nearly three decades of artistry, leadership, and heart.
