Relive the 70s when Tower of Power returns to the LBC on Saturday, November 28! For 58 years, Tower of Power has delivered the best in funk and soul music. Once East Bay Grease defined their sound, the 70s were a boom period for the band with radio classics like “So Very Hard to Go” and “What Is Hip?” They continued to tour and record over the years, returning to Oakland in 2018 for their 50th anniversary. They’ve travelled the world, enjoying hit singles on their own and backing legendary artists, including Otis Redding, Elton John, Santana, the Grateful Dead, John Lee Ho**er, Aerosmith, Bonnie Raitt, and countless others. In the process they’ve defined the instantly recognizable “Oakland soul” sound.
