It's the band that put Rockabilly music back on the record charts! The Stray Cats - all three original members Brian Setzer (guitar, vocals), Lee Rocker (upright bass, vocals), and Slim Jim Phantom (drums, vocals) - is coming to LBC on Friday, July 31! In the early '80s, they scored several big hits on both sides of the Atlantic, all thanks to genuine musical chops that evoke the best players of rockabilly's original heyday and a striking visual 1950s style made contemporary with exaggerated pompadours and colorful tattoos. Their massive hits and videos include “Runaway Boys," "Rock This Town," "Stray Cat Strut” "(She's) Sexy + 17," and "I Won't Stand in Your Way."

Luther Locals Live, our FREE outdoor concert series, opens on Tuesday, June 2nd with Ellie James and The Electric Dream! The band lives up to its name by bringing electrifying original music and fresh twists on your favorite cover tunes. An eclectic mix of pop, rock, and alternative, the band prides itself on injecting passion into every set and mixing emotional lyrics with their signature energetic sound, whether it is tongue-in-cheek punk, earnest singer-songwriter vibe, wailing guitar riffs, or powerfully belted notes. Doors open at 4:30 for members, 5:00 for the public. Music starts at 5:30.
