Who has heard of coffin bells ?

In the 18th and 19th centuries, bells were attached to safety coffin designs to prevent premature burial. Because medical science could not easily tell deep comas from real death, people feared waking up underground. A string ran from inside the coffin to a bell above ground so a revived person could alert a watchman.

Can you imagine walking through a cemetery in those days and hear a bell ring, what would you do ?

Some behind the scenes shots of Jolenes engine transplant. It has taken some time but thanks to my brother and the chief mechanic on this build Jolene is moving under her own power. She rose from extreme poverty and an acting career to become a powerful first lady in the country she lived in. She captivated the working class, championed women's suffrage, and ran massive social welfare programs, turning herself into an enduring, legendary cultural icon before dying of cancer at age 33.

Interesting fact after her death and funeral her body went missing for 16 years, it was eventually returned.

The funeral of Pope Pius XII in October 1958 became infamous due to a botched, experimental embalming process. Because his personal physician used resins and cellophane instead of a more standard process, the warm weather and trapped gasses caused rapid, severe decomposition during the procession to Rome, shocking mourners and changing Vatican protocol forever

There were reports that built up internal gasses reportedly caused parts of the body to rupture or featues to detach before public viewings were halted and a wax mask was used.

Dr. Riccardo Galeazzi-Lisi the doctor responsible for the procedure was dismissed, banned from Vatican City for life, and suspended by the Italian Medical Council.
