At Solidarity, our goal is always to provide a positive experience for families and organizations who choose our venue for their special occasions.
We take pride in providing a safe, clean, and welcoming space for all events held at Solidarity Hall (formerly UAW 467). We understand that people may be disappointed when deposits are not returned in full. Deposits are only withheld when damages, policy violations, or extra cleaning beyond normal use occur. We always document these incidents.
Depending on the size and nature of an event and duration, security may be required. This fee is removed from the security deposit.
We make every effort to return calls and emails. If there are ever concerns, renters are encouraged to reach out directly, and we’re happy to review matters.
Someone recently made a post regarding two events held at the Solidarity Hall. We’d like to clarify that the person who made this post is not the renter on record for either event. We recently invested over $16,000 in upgrades and painting, which is why smoking and va**ng are strictly prohibited to protect the space. Smoking with an establishment is also illegal in the State of Michigan. For both of these reunions, we went above and beyond by allowing early entry at no extra charge, and our staff stayed onsite to secure the event, help with breakdown, and remain even after the contract holder left while guests were still in the parking lot. Dakota Security, our contracted security company and part of our team, provided coverage for both events and witnessed the violation.
Deposits are only held when there are clear contract violations. If the person who signed the contract would like to contact us, we’re always happy to review details directly with them.
