The Durham VAVS team used the Elks National Veteran Service Commission Boost Grant to host the 2nd Annual Live Music Event at Durham VA Medical Center

on May 19, 2026. All Veterans patients and residents were invited.

This year the Raleigh Elks partnered with Wake Forest VFW Post 8466. The VFW brought their “Chuck Wagon” and served lunch to over 120 Veterans and spouses.

Our own Stan Hoffman and his band Airtight Alibi entertained from 11-2pm.

We used the Boost Grant funding to provide male and female toiletries to all veterans. Such a fun way to thank our Veterans!

Special thanks to Durham VAMC CDCE for their assistance in coordinating this amazing event.

Bingo at the Raleigh Elks Lodge will be this coming Monday, June 1st! Doors open at 5:30pm and the first game begins at 6:30pm. There's a concession stand with sandwiches and snacks so come out and spend an enjoyable evening with us!

On Monday, May 25 The Raleigh Elks, in partnership with the North Raleigh Rotary Club, hosted Flags for Heroes in the opening ceremony.

The ceremony is an opportunity to recognize and honor all our heroes!

Hello Raleigh Elks.

I hope this message will find you well. I wanted to share a bit more detailed information about this upcoming weekend to help clear up any confusion and make sure everyone knows what's planned and how to participate.

This Sunday, May 24th, and Monday May 25th, we have two exciting events taking place at and around the lodge, and
everyone is encouraged to attend and take part as they are able.

1. Pool Opening/Memorial Day Party

We will be kicking off the pool season with a pool opening party starting at noon on Sunday(pool opens at 10 am) May 24th.

This will be a relaxed, family friendly gathering and a great opportunity to enjoy the pool, connect with fellow members,
and welcome the start of summer. Hamburgers, Hot Dogs and chips will be served for a cost of $5.00 per plate. If you
would like to contribute, please feel free to bring a side dish or dessert to share, though it is absolutely not required.

2. Flags for Heros Opening Ceremony

On Monday May 25th, our lodge in partnership with the North Raleigh Rotary Club, will be hosting Flags for Heros opening ceremony.

This ceremony is an important opportunity to come together as a community to recognize and honor heros, and all members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

We hope you can join us for one or both of these events. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need
