Happy Sunday, it's is officially time for our first wedding recap of the year! We headed to Seattle yesterday for Erin and Landan's big day. They chose to exchange vows on the eighth anniversary of when they started dating. They had such a personal and sweet ceremony performed by Erin's brother-in-law. And they celebrated by dancing the night away with their friends and family! It was such a beautiful wedding and we couldn't have done it without their planning and amazing vendor team.

Let's talk about private vows!
This is one of our favorite newer wedding trends. There are a lot of people who are not fans of public speaking and are worried about exchanging personal vows in front of all their guests. Private vows are a great alternative! Exchanging your vow with your spouse in private can be so special. They can be done during a first look, or if you aren't doing a first look, you can take a moment during your couple photos and exchange your private vows.

Southern tradition says if you bury the bourbon at your wedding venue exactly one month before the big day, you'll have clear skies when you say 'I do'!
While it's not a very common practice here in the Pacific Northwest, Daryl and Wyatt decided to give it a shot (pun intended). They got their shovels ready and kept their fingers crossed. Well, they ended up having a beautiful, sunny wedding day. So what better way to celebrate than digging up the bottle, taking a sip, and sharing it with their friends and family!
