A lot of people have recently asked us where the name "The Winsome Grace" came from. How and why we came up with that name. Well here's the story! When we began the challenge of naming this incredible venue, we decided to send out a letter to all our friends and family and asked them to send us words that they believed best described our building. We began receiving responses very quickly. We threw all the words into a computer app thesaurus to see what were the most common descriptive words that came up. Of course the words "WINSOME" and "GRACEFUL" were the two winners. With that in mind, Duane did a little research on the internet and this is what he found. In chapter 15 of Mark Twain's " book, "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" he pens the phrase..."Of a truth, the phrase hath a fair and WINSOME GRACE, and is prettily worded withal." Also, going to the website of the Cathy family, the Christian founders of Chick-fil-A, the President and COO, writes the following: "No one to have ever lived, has possessed the amount of WINSOME GRACE that Jesus exemplified during His time on earth. He didn't just tell others how to live, He showed them." With all this in mind, thus was born, The Winsome Grace!
