1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

One year ago we opened a little room above a record store with a simple idea: the album deserves your full attention. You showed up, you listened, and you made B-Side what it is. Now we get to celebrate together.

Sunday, November 1st, 10am to 4pm: B-Side Day, a special edition of Tats & Tunes. Free and open to everyone. Studio Marilyn will be here doing tattoos while you listen. On the hour, every hour, we’ll play the B-side of one of our favorite albums in full, and in between we’ll spin whatever you bring. B-Side merch launches that day too.

Tuesday, November 3rd: Live Jazz Night with The Breakroom. Our house band is turning 90s hip hop classics into live jazz. Think Tribe, Snoop, Wu-Tang, 2Pac, Dre, and The Pharcyde. There are two sessions, at 7pm and 8:30pm, with 30 seats each. Tickets are $15 a session, so pick the one that works for you and grab your seat before they’re gone.

October’s Listening schedule dropped today.
This month we’ve slipped a few haunting records into the lineup, the kind that crawl up your spine best with the lights turned low.
Tom Waits rattling around a midnight junkyard.
Black Sabbath summoning the doom.
Cocteau Twins drifting through the room like a friendly ghost.
Consider it our soundtrack to spooky season.

And because one listen is never enough, we’re serving up a double feature of Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Catch it on Halloween Eve, or join us on Halloween itself at 5 PM.
You’ll be back out the door in plenty of time to get your little monsters trick-or-treating. (Zombie dance moves are optional. Mostly.)

Join B-Side HiFi for the Sylvan Esso Global Listening Day for their new album Ow ∞ on Sept 3rd - one week before it is officially released.

Ow ∞ is a trust fall into our dystopian present, past and future: arms wide open, embracing and absorbing the pain of cities under water or on fire, and piecing oneself back together as a tactile, scotch-taped collage of memories, ephemera, Y2K-era burned CDs and backseat makeouts.

Ahead of the release of Ow ∞, fans can experience an early listen to the record in full at a series of listening events around the globe on September 3rd.

On August 7th, we had a fantastic open house for Provo Art Stroll with artists Mike Whiting and Amanda Jane Jones

As this month concludes, the B-Side gallery will switch for a brand new exhibit.

Join us Friday, September 4th from 6pm-9pm for an open house including a new feature exhibit. The Listening room will also be open spinning great records all night.
Free for everyone.
