After booking venue & caterer, I booked Narin. s/o Aimee, his wife & official-unofficial videog asst, and my childhood friend turned adhoc setup/floral helper.
—- All 3 of yall were cold all weekend long, did more than just capture moments, & were there for us literally from the beginning to the end of the whole weekend. We appreciate yall sm!

HELLOO 👋🏽👋🏽

I found these other never-before-seen photos from my 2022 shoot aka pre-engaged/pre-married Athena and I figured, let’s let these finally see the light of day along with another introduction!

Hiiii, I’m Athena! My 7 to 3 is at UW, my 3 to 6 + some weekends are weddings, and the remaining time is currently puzzles, reading, snuggling (cuz it’s Fall Szn). Imma FilAm cat mama & enjoy a good time, as long as my social battery is in the green!

I’ve been day of coordinating officially since 2017 and took a break this year in 2025 to plan my own wedding; some I’m back in action for 2026! Thanks to those who have reached out for 2026, I have almost responded to everyone with my limited 2026 availability (cmon, living my first year of marriage here!!).

When A + T asked me to help them with their wedding reception, I was so honored and stoked. 2017 was when I started my day of coordination services & this wedding reception was actually THE catalyst for me to actually seriously pursue this passion.

They did throw noob me in for a loop however, with wanting to execute many unique details specific to them, like: how the planning was just for the reception & we were to project their elopement video in a semi-outside, sunny venue (making it a little difficult to see) just before their grand entrance, how they wanted both a taco bar AND Filipino food PLUS a roasted pig, & instead of a wedding cake, they wanted rolled ice cream, & more! It was a great way to dive into the industry and learn more about “non-traditional” traditions, but more importantly, these details were very unique to them…& that’s what a wedding celebration should be about.

I owe so much to A + T; thank you for trusting noob me and being the most amazing people that you are! I hope you’re enjoying Mexico rn! Happy 8th Wedding (reception) Anniversary A + T!!

Rain or shine, it’s Ko time!
We unfortunately started the day to gloomy skies and rain up until the reception when the sun finally decided to come play! So we had to change our originally planned outdoor ceremony to the covered reception area that still got the job done.

This was the first time I also helped be both emcee and DJ, so then-new-boyfriend, Chad joined me and helped with that. Overall, it was such a glorious celebration for A + A!

M, D, and I all had leadership roles in our time at FASAsaUW, meaning, they have a background in event planning. So when I say planning for their wedding celebration was smooth sailing, I’m saying it was as smooth as a baby’s bottom. So when I unexpectedly caught covid the week of their wedding, thankfully Marie .events.and.beyond was available and willing to jump in and help M + D run their best day ever while I stayed home and missed out on all the fun.

And boy did / do a great job at capturing the fun. You can truly see & feel all the emotions through their photos/videos captured. It’s a great way to relive the big day. Enjoy your upcoming big trip, M + D!

This sweet couple chose to have an intimate ceremony with family just before their extended family and friends arrived in time for the dinner reception. This was my first experience doing that and the love from the intimate ceremony transitioned so well into the bigger group. The guests ended the night all huddled together in a circle dancing and singing to the couples’ first dance song.

Song River Monroe is a beautiful, versatile space that offers in-house furniture and decoration! Other than the couples’ personal decor (pop vinyl cake toppers, guest book, and welcome sign) the remaining were all provided by the venue!

The cold wintery winds didn’t stop E + J from their outside photo sesh SEVEN years ago to this day! We had a very classy and cozy, black and white themed celebration for these two…yet nothing could hold them back to share their love for tacos! We danced all night and had a blast. It was a great wedding to start off the year.

This was also fresh out of my rookie season of coordinating, when I learned that bridal party bouquets could double as table centerpieces and that black bridesmaid dresses are THE vibe because every girl needs a banging black dress 🖤

I love the business I’ve built; the couples & people met, the milestones made, the friendships made, the busy schedules, the sacrificed sunny days… the past 6 wedding seasons, I wouldn’t trade any of it and no ragrets.

But like all the clichés out there:
- consume in moderation
- allow time for breaks and rest
- put you first; aka do you boo-boo

Sooo since I’m getting married in 2025, I’ve decided to allow myself the grace to just focus on my wedding for the year, & enjoy the “other side” as a bride! But mostly on top of that, to take a well-deserved break.

To the couples and friends that have already sent in inquiries for 2025; again, my deepest apologies that I won’t be able to be there for you for your biiig day. But my suggestions guarantee you’ll be in the best hands and I can’t wait to see photos! & I’m also still welcoming questions and any advise needed, so feel free to contact me on my website or DM here. What. A. Year. A huge thanks and a shoutout to my amazing 2024 couples! My heart bursts as another couple commits to each other and the family grows. Again, it’s such an honor for y’all to trust me on one of the most special days of your lives and I couldn’t be anymore grateful.
