I believe this will be year 17.
It has been a hectic few months for myself and everyone else in this area. I want to start out by saying thank you to everyone that has reached out to me, my family and friends, and this running community in the aftermath of hurricane Helene. There is still a long road to recovery ahead, but progress is being made every day.
It's been a slow-moving process, but we have been granted all permits to host our race in 2025! This year's race will be held on June 7th and 8th. Registration will go live on Ultrasignup on Friday, January 24th.
Due to the devastating impact the hurricane had on the trails, there may be some changes made to the course. The clean-up and rebuilding process has already begun, but it may be several months before a 'final' route is ready to be released. Just know that it will be in the 2.5-3.5 mile range for a loop and 200-300 ft of gain.
We will be hosting work days in the spring. If you're interested in helping, stay tuned!
