BALLROOM BASIX BBX is the only NON-competitive Ballroom & Latin partner dance program in all 5 boroughs of NYC, and beyond!

Since launching in West Harlem school in 2008, our "fun, fitness & fancy footwork" has touched the lives of nearly 40,000 kids in 200+ schools!💙 The only NON-competitive partner dancing program for school children beginning in the SIXth grade, the 1st year of middle school, providing positivity, poise and politeness through the "basix" of Ballroom & Latin dance. By enabling classmates to connect r

otationally and respectfully with one another, our transformative techniques catalyze improved conduct, self-confidence, cooperation, and camaraderie among classmates. This contributes to combatting the isolating effects of today's technology (cell phones; gaming devices), as well as serving as a significant deterrent to bullying, by getting kids eye-to-eye, arm-in-arm and hand-in-hand..."making manners matter...every move we make!"

Our Story

BALLROOM BASIX™ (BBX) is the only NON-competitive partner dancing program for schoolchildren in NYC, primarily serving the SIXth grade, the first year of middle school. Using the the "basix" of Ballroom & Latin dance, our program provides positive, poised and polite interaction among the students we serve . By enabling ALL classmates to connect rotationally and respectfully with one another, our transformative techniques catalyze improved character, conduct, self-confidence, cooperation, and camaraderie among classmates. This helps to combat the isolating effects of today's technology (cell phones; gaming devices), and functions as a significant deterrent to bullying, by getting kids eye-to-eye, arm-in-arm and hand-in-hand in a healthy way, in keeping with our motto: "making manners matter...every move we make!"
