💍 Note: No pets are allowed, and restrooms are located about a quarter-mile away at the Visitor Center.

Hindsight is 20/20 but the love we build over time is even clearer. Marriage is truly a masterclass in growth and the person who stood at the altar is likely so different from the person you are today. Long term relationships have a way of teaching us things we never could have known back then. You learn about your own capacity for patience and resilience, you discover the beautiful depth of your partner through every season of life, and you realize that real love is less about one perfect day and more about the perfectly messy life you build together afterward.

We want to bridge the gap between the dream and the reality by sharing some of that hard earned wisdom. Hope and Paul’s journey started with a bar chat and a first date the very next day. After a dream mountain proposal overlooking the river, it only made sense that they’d say their vows surrounded by the whimsical, old-world charm of Ely’s Mill in Gatlinburg. Walking past the historic rustic cabins and stepping out onto the mossy rocks right next to the roaring river gave them the peaceful, enchanting escape they always wanted. 🌲🌊

Walking hand-in-hand down the quiet boardwalk, surrounded by the stunning, lush coastal woods before stepping out onto the wide, serene beach, gave them the peace, and the privacy, that they wanted for their vows. It felt like a hidden oasis made just for them. 🌿🌅

They say your wedding day is the best day of your life, but here is the secret that nobody tells you: the best part has absolutely nothing to do with the guest count or the height of the cake.

There is a lingering myth that choosing to elope or have a micro-wedding is somehow a compromise or a “less than” version of a traditional wedding, but we are here to tell you that choosing intimacy is actually the ultimate flex.

Whether you are surrounded by hundreds of people in a ballroom or it is just the two of you on a quiet mountain peak, the gravity of the moment is exactly the same because the magic isn’t in the production, it’s in the promise.

When you are standing there in the quiet, holding your partner’s hands and preparing to say those two life-changing words, the reality hits you all at once. It doesn’t matter how chill you planned to be; in that moment, you will be internally freaking out in the best way possible.
