On Wednesday, Gibney mobilizes the dance community in observance of Denim Day, an internationally recognized day raising awareness around sexual assault.

Denim Day began following a 1998 Italian Supreme Court ruling that overturned a r**e conviction based on what the victim was wearing. Today, wearing denim stands as a powerful act of protest against harmful myths and a gesture of solidarity with survivors.

On April 29, our Move to Move Beyond Storytellers will perform a work rooted in lived experiences, fostering advocacy, connection, and awareness as part of in Brooklyn.
