Such a great engagement session with Lindsay and Victor! They wanted a mix of downtown Asheville’s urban vibe and a touch of nature—and I was more than happy to make it happen. Lindsay had a vision for some candid, paparazzi-inspired shots too, which brought such a unique and playful energy to the session.

The Watson granddaughters stole my heart last week with their sweet spirits and beautiful smiles. I had the best time with Ally and Michael! Favorite moment? Hands down when they read their private vows and, without knowing it, basically wrote the same thing — both reminiscing about their first date. So sweet. Also obsessed with the bright, happy colors in this one. Total June vibes! AND we lucked out with the prettiest summer sunset and I may or may not have made Ally twirl ‘til she was dizzy.

This engagement session with Emily and David is definitely one I’ll never forget! Not only were they a total blast to hang out with, but we also had the most unexpected celebrity encounter. We literally ran into Gayle King and Adam Glassman while they were filming a segment for the Oprah show at The Biltmore Estate, highlighting Asheville and its recovery from Hurricane Helene. They were so kind and down-to-earth—and yes, we got photos with them (scroll to see!). Such a fun surprise and an extra memorable moment from an already amazing day.

The way you love your brothers, the way you see the world, the kindness you carry…it’s a gift to witness. I can’t believe Rachael is married! We go way back — she used to be my babysitter in the earlier days of my photography business. I could always count on her to keep my boys entertained and take Evan on his daily “walks” around the neighborhood.
Fast forward 10 years and she’s walking down the aisle, and I couldn’t be happier for her and her new husband, Nick. Their wedding at The Weaver House was absolutely beautiful, and we wrapped up the ceremony just before the skies opened up with a classic spring shower.
After having to postpone the big day thanks to Hurricane Helene, a little rain was nothing — these two (and their guests) took it all in stride, and it made for such a sweet, joy-filled celebration. So honored to witness this beautiful union!

Bittersweet doesn’t even begin to cover it. I’ve had the honor of photographing Lucy since she was a baby, and last week we celebrated her senior year with a session at Biltmore Estate — the same place we did her 1-year portraits. 🥹✨ She’s grown into such a natural beauty, inside and out. Wishing her all the best as she heads to Chapel Hill this fall!
