Oooooooo, we have had an increase in inquiries and bookings!! We actually had a few inquiries recently for dates that were already taken. What a weird predicament to be in! Thankfully, a few were able to pick another date, which is awesome. After earning the award for Best Wedding Venue in Harrison and the surrounding area, we definitely had an uptick in inquiries! How exciting!! And truly, God gets ALL the glory.

When purchasing our three Air Conditioning units for The Gathering Barn, I asked the Salesman if I had enough Air Conditioning. He replied, "Ma'am, you have too much Air Conditioning." You know we got more than enough when the Salesman is talking you out of purchasing another unit.

Thank you, Kingston High School for trusting us at The Gathering Barn to host your 2026 PROM!
💎 It was a blast! From the time the kids came to check out our venue, it was obvious that these kids were well respected and polite but also this would be the perfect Prom, and it was. The teacher in charge was extremely wonderful to work with on all the many details that needed to come together. We did way more laughing than you'd expect but we were genuinely having fun.
💎 Sure, most Owners of the Venue you're having your party at don't or won't help decorate or even stay for the entire event. For us, it's about taking stress off everyone, it's helping with items they forgot or didn't know they needed, it's being a helping hand with garbage or bringing more food out. It's constantly checking the bathrooms and the temperature. For us, it's a privilege. These kids will remember forever just where they had their Senior Prom and it was at The Gathering Barn.

The Gathering Barn had the privilege of Hosting a Career Day sponsored by Heartland Forward called DEMO DAY, Exploring Trades Workforce. They are based out of Bentonville Arkansas. There were eight High Schools represented from the area, including from 3 different counties. The Gathering Barn getting chosen to host such an event was a huge undertaking for us... 225 chairs, 18 eight foot tables, outdoor setup for one of the trades and 120 Box Lunches and pastries and desserts catered from Neighbor's Mill. (We were fortunate that they asked if we wanted all of the leftovers and we were able to bless several families in our small town after the event.)

Whoop!) but we also want to host your Graduation parties, Family Reunions, your baby girl's Quinceañeras, Summer Picnics and most definitely, your Christmas celebrations. We just hosted one of the best events at The Gathering Barn thus far! It wasn't just a Baby Shower for a little Girl, it was Strawberry themed with the cutest decorations and amazing food. We met some of the nicest people, some of whom already follow us on Facebook! The Lady who booked with us was an absolute delight to coordinate all the details with. She was so respectful and sincerely appreciative of all we did and supplied at no extra cost.

Here at The Gathering Barn, my precious Daughter Sarah and I have hosted several company events, such as summer picnics and Christmas parties. We have had large Family Reunions, Graduation parties and Showers, for example.
💎 I may be a bit biased but we are literally the best place to host such large events. Here's why... First and foremost, we've got Air Conditioning! The whole building can be Artic cold if you want. You like it toasty warm, we got you covered! Also, our 20 acres offers lots of areas to play outside games that we supply, at no extra cost. We have Horseshoes, soccer and footballs, Co****le and volleyball! Think about all the tournaments Y'all can have! We also have a Game Room stocked with lots of games that will keep the kiddos busy and entertained!
💎 Something else that makes us very different is that we offer a very flexible payment schedule.
💎 Another thing a lot of people overlook until it's necessary, is that we have FIVE toilets in our Handicap-Accessible bathrooms!

On March 3rd, 1997, my life changed in the most spectacular way. My Twin Daughters, Sarah and Theresa were born.
❤️ About four years ago, my Sarah heard clearly from the Lord to move back home. God had big plans for me, and Sarah was a critical part of those plans. It literally was only a couple of weeks after she came home, when the Lord spoke to my heart about moving out of Missouri to Marble Falls, Arkansas. THEN, the Lord spoke clearly to us about what to do next. And having Sarah by my side was an integral part of moving forward to building The Gathering Barn. So many Miracles! So many opportunities to miss the direction of the Lord, but together, we have built a legacy, something I can pass on to Sarah and hopefully some day, her children.
❤️ Sarah has thrown herself into every aspect of the building and running The Gathering Barn. Absolutely no part of it would have happened without her. She is amazing and I credit her for our success. God knew I could not have built and then run the day to day operations of The Gathering Barn and Diamond R Ranch without my Sarah. I credit HER obedience, otherwise none of this would have happened. I thank God for her.

February 24th marked two years since we opened The Gathering Barn. Such a milestone has us reflecting on the magnitude of what the Lord has done through us. In the very beginning, there was nothing but land... And divine guidance on what I was supposed to do.
💎 Before The Gathering Barn was built, I regularly sat on my Bench and prayed. I would pray in the Spirit and I'd listen to the small still Voice of the Lord. I remember a time at the gas station, a guy came up to me and asked if I was the one who sits on that Bench at Diamond R Ranch. He said that he saw me just staring into the sky with my arms raised and was convinced I was high on something. I said "No, No, No!! I was praying!"
"Sure you were..." he replied with a wink.
High on Jesus, I guess.
💎 There were countless miracles that took place before we had even one booking. It was discouraging at times but my Daughter Sarah and I did not give up. That's what I want to stress. We did not give up! Tempted? Yeah for a moment but not for a long moment. If God has placed in you a dream or desire, and you've got it settled in your heart that you DID hear from the Lord, then go after it with everything you've got! Trust God because He is faithful. Ask me how I know.
