What a blessing! Recently, we had the sweetest compliment from a future Bride that came to The Gathering Barn for a tour of our Venue. My Daughter Sarah and I really hit it off with this young couple. They were really pleased with our flexible payment schedule and all that is included at no extra cost. We enjoyed hearing about how they met and how he proposed. We listened intently to the things she was hoping she could have at her wedding.
As we finished the tour, they said they had a couple of other venues to see. We were a little disappointed but encouraged them to do so. Well, not even two hours later, the Bride contacted us and said they were choosing us.
The reason?? US!! ME AND MY DAUGHTER SARAH! WE WERE THE REASON THEY PICKED THE GATHERING BARN!! How cool is THAT!?!
They loved that we are Mother and Daughter working together to fulfill our dream of a very successful event Venue. It really is a dream to be working closely with my Daughter, who I birthed just over 29 years ago. This couple appreciated how much we listened and were willing to work with them, offering ideas and suggestions, free items and decor, all at no extra cost. For them, and others, it was invaluable to have their event with people they could trust.

It has been a bit of a roller-coaster ride at times for us here at The Gathering Barn, but through it all, I can see God's Hand in it. He has always been faithful to us.
💎 Looking back, we at The Gathering Barn have had the privilege of hosting weddings, birthday parties, family reunions, and class reunions! We have also hosted a couple of Celebration of Life services (funerals). Those were a challenge, but I believe we were able to make things a little easier on the families.
💎 The Proms we hosted were perfect! Between the size of our building (4,000 sq. ft.), our huge supply of decorations that we offer free of charge, and the ample amount of parking, we truly are the perfect place for your Prom! Please consider The Gathering Barn for next year!
💎 The moments that stand out to me the most are the ones where we made a difference for our guests. We had a guest who was paraplegic thank us for having a handicap-accessible building, including the bathrooms. He remarked that this was the first event in a long time that he was able to attend. That made me cry. The Gathering Barn is more than just a building — it has become a ministry for us.

It's come to our attention that our sent emails from our business email are often going to people's SPAM and not their regular inbox. We've had a couple of people tell us that they tried to get information about The Gathering Barn but we did not respond. That's a gut punch because we truly pride ourselves on responding at the very latest within 24 hours, if not immediately.

We are offering discounts if booked soon; we're looking to fill up the rest of our May and June calendars. Remember that our upfront pricing has no hidden charges; you will have access to our kitchen supplies, party decorations, tables and chairs, our sound system, and so much more. Everything we have for you to use for free, saves you even more money! Our Game Room is absolutely a hit with the kids, especially during Set-up of your party. Our "hourly" rates are very reasonable and are budget friendly. Birthday Barties, Family Gatherings, Graduation Parties, Baby Showers and Bridal Showers are always special here at The Gathering Barn!

Oooooooo, we have had an increase in inquiries and bookings!! We actually had a few inquiries recently for dates that were already taken. What a weird predicament to be in! Thankfully, a few were able to pick another date, which is awesome. After earning the award for Best Wedding Venue in Harrison and the surrounding area, we definitely had an uptick in inquiries! How exciting!! And truly, God gets ALL the glory.
SO..... if you're still undecided about where you want your wedding to be held or Graduation party or your Family's Reunion, you must check out The Gathering Barn! When purchasing our three Air Conditioning units for The Gathering Barn, I asked the Salesman if I had enough Air Conditioning. He replied, "Ma'am, you have too much Air Conditioning." You know we got more than enough when the Salesman is talking you out of purchasing another unit.

Thank you, Kingston High School for trusting us at The Gathering Barn to host your 2026 PROM!
💎 It was a blast! From the time the kids came to check out our venue, it was obvious that these kids were well respected and polite but also this would be the perfect Prom, and it was. The teacher in charge was extremely wonderful to work with on all the many details that needed to come together. We did way more laughing than you'd expect but we were genuinely having fun.
💎 We know most Owners of the Venue you're having your party at don't or won't help decorate or even stay for the entire event. For us, it's about taking stress off everyone, it's helping with items they forgot or didn't know they needed, it's being a helping hand with garbage or bringing more food out. It's constantly checking the bathrooms and the temperature. For us, it's a privilege. These kids will remember forever just where they had their Senior Prom and it was at The Gathering Barn.

The Gathering Barn had the privilege of Hosting a Career Day sponsored by Heartland Forward called DEMO DAY, Exploring Trades Workforce. They are based out of Bentonville Arkansas. There were eight High Schools represented from the area, including from 3 different counties. The Gathering Barn getting chosen to host such an event was a huge undertaking for us... 225 chairs, 18 eight foot tables, outdoor setup for one of the trades and 120 Box Lunches and pastries and desserts catered from Neighbor's Mill. (We were fortunate that they asked if we wanted all of the leftovers and we were able to bless several families in our small town after the event.)
💎 You'll see from the photos just how versatile The Gathering Barn can be set up. Yes, we were voted BEST WEDDING VENUE (Whoop! Whoop!) but we also want to host your Graduation parties, Family Reunions, your baby girl's Quinceañeras, Summer Picnics and most definitely, your Christmas celebrations. Please consider us for your baby or bridal showers, your business gatherings and company events. It's also not too early to start thinking about next school year's PROM!
