The most darling baskets you ever did see were just one of the many things that played a part in this garden style cocktail hour.

Of all the layers (and I mean, LAYERS) of design work for this wedding day, the simple, little basket is the element that made me smile every time I walked by one, aaaaaand it wasn’t even my idea.

In the final hour of planning, the mother of the bride asked, “What if we did little baskets of flowers instead of vases?” took the idea and ran with it.

Every wedding is such a true collaboration of brainstorming, creating and production. From the bride, mom, planner, florist, photographer, stationery artist…I could go on, but you get the idea. We all work together to make a wedding day be extraordinary and it’s absolutely my favorite thing about planning.

Emma and Jesse’s wedding day was a full step into Spring inspired by art with soft hues of yellow and blush and all the lush shades of green the season is known for.

During the planning process, Emma found a watercolor painting that ended up being the driving force in design. It made its debut on the invitations (peep the 2nd photo!) and we carried it through the wedding day using the color palette. It was like we were literally standing in the painting. Even the swans made an appearance!
