🌺 ALOHA FRIDAY from Waipahu! 🌺

Yesterday Chris and I had the absolute pleasure of spending the morning with an incredible group of students at Waipahu High School for a conversation we called “Make It Until You Make It.”

We came to share some of the things life and business have taught us about finding your voice, building relationships, asking for what you want, surviving rejection, and having the courage to keep moving forward even when you can’t quite see where the road is taking you.

And—as so often happens when we work with young people—we walked away inspired ourselves. 💛

One of the first things I saw on campus said:

MY VOICE.
MY CHOICE.
MY FUTURE.

Whew. 🙌🏾

Because THAT was the conversation.

Your circumstances don’t get to write the ending of your story.

Rejection can be redirection.

Your network can change the trajectory of your life.

Closed mouths don’t get fed.

And you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin.

Sometimes you just have to MAKE IT UNTIL YOU MAKE IT. ✨

Mahalo nui loa to the students and educators at Waipahu High School for welcoming us, sharing your manaʻo, asking thoughtful questions, laughing with us, and reminding us exactly why pouring into the next generation matters.

Hail, hail, hail Waipahu! 💙💛

Happy Aloha Friday, everybody. 🌺🤙🏾

Some news feels bigger than the news itself. 🩰🤎🌺

Our Zoe was accepted into the Alvin Ailey Fall Break Dance Intensive, and my mama heart is so full.

For our little hapa girl — Black, Hawaiian, Chinese, Portuguese, and Native American — there is something especially meaningful about stepping into a space connected to the extraordinary legacy of Alvin Ailey.

Ailey understood that our stories, our cultures, our histories and our bodies belong on the stage. He created space for Black dancers and Black stories in an art form where they had too often been excluded, while building a legacy that has inspired generations of artists from every background.

And now this little Hawaiʻi girl gets to walk through that door too.

She carries so many ancestors with her. So many cultures. So many stories. And she never has to choose which part of herself gets to enter the room.

All of her belongs.

Go learn. Go dance. Go grow. Take up your space, Zoe Dot. 🩰✨

We are so incredibly proud of you.

Imua, baby girl. 🌺🙏🏾

🎬 We can finally share! 🌺

Our lil Zoe Dot Chang booked a role in Jumanji: Open World as Warrior Kid #3! 🥹❤️

From arriving on set with her backpack, to having her very own trailer, sitting in hair, makeup and wardrobe, and then stepping in front of the cameras—watching Zoe experience the discipline and magic of making a major motion picture was something our family will never forget.

We are incredibly grateful to Kathy Muller Talent & Modeling Agency, everyone who believed in her, and the production team who gave this little Hawaiian 🌺 girl an opportunity to step into a very big world.

Zoe, we are proud of you not simply because you booked the role, but because of the courage, preparation, professionalism and joy you brought to the experience.

From Hawaiʻi to the big screen. 🌺🎥

Congratulations to all of the Hawaiʻi talent who booked the film. What a wonderful moment for our local creative community.

☔️ When storm prep becomes storytelling… 🤖💕🌺

Living on an island teaches you to prepare.

But as a mom, I’ve also learned that preparation doesn’t have to feel scary — especially for kids.

With stormy weather approaching Hawaiʻi, our family did what we always do: checked the pantry, charged the devices, pulled out the lanterns, secured our important documents, made sure the emergency supplies were ready…and apparently confirmed that we own enough board games to survive a very long power outage. 😂

Then I thought:

How can I make all of this useful — and fun — for Belle and Zoe?

So I opened ChatGPT. 🤖

We took inventory of what we already had before buying anything else: pantry staples, freezer meals, canned goods, snacks, water, lighting, batteries, our little generator and cooking supplies.

Then we built a weekend menu around the food already in our home, created a “grab a snack and close the fridge” plan 😂, brainstormed screen-free activities for a power outage, added energy-saving tips, and turned the whole thing into a colorful little Chang Family Storm Café guide.

And somewhere along the way, emergency preparedness became a family storytelling project. 💕

That’s what excites me about AI.

Not technology replacing our thinking, our creativity or our humanity — but technology helping us organize what we know, use what we have, communicate better and make everyday experiences a little more meaningful.

Very Coradorables, actually.

See good. Do good. Look good. — even during storm prep. ☔️🌺

Stay safe, Hawaiʻi.
Stay prepared.
And maybe pull out the UNO cards before the Wi-Fi disappears. 😂

Sometimes a photograph holds much more than a moment.

I was wearing a Coradorables Brown Tribal handkerchief dress and my officeofangelascott “shoes for women who mean business” — a gift from the brand after I received the Pacific Business News Women Who Mean Business award.

The photograph was taken at Prince Waikiki, a place that also holds wonderful memories from Pacific Business News Mentoring Monday events and a season when so many meaningful professional relationships were beginning to take shape.

Around that same time, Coradorables was also receiving recognition from NRF connected to the QVC Sprouts 🌱 program.

Looking back, what stays with me most isn’t any single award or opportunity. It’s how one room opened into another, one introduction led to the next, and community kept showing up along the way.

You rarely know when you’re living the beginning of something meaningful.

Good times. Good people. Deep gratitude for the journey. 🌺

Apparently the first rule of wine tasting is READ THE BOTTLE. 😂🍷🍓

Chris was gifted this wonderfully unexpected 2023 Sabroso!!! Central Coast Red by our Japanese wine-distributor neighbors at Hawaiʻi’s Foreign-Trade Zone No. 9.

First sip: TART! 😂

Then we discovered that this bright, strawberry-forward red is actually meant to be served chilled. 🧊🍷

Even cooler? The 2023 vintage earned 95 points + Editors’ Choice from Wine Enthusiast.

One of my favorite things about being part of the FTZ9 community is discovering the incredible businesses, entrepreneurs, importers, exporters and products working right alongside us.

Support your neighbors. Discover something new. And read the bottle. 😂🌺🤙🏾

Mahalo for the introduction — round two will be properly chilled! 🍓🍷

1️⃣ JUST MARRIED ❤️
Walking back down the aisle on 08.08.08—husband and wife, already six years into our love story. Marriage wasn’t the beginning of us. It was another beginning for us.

2️⃣ THE PROMISE 💍
For better, for worse. For richer, for poorer. In sickness and in health. And then we kissed on it. ❤️

3️⃣ CORA + CHRIS ❤️
Before parenthood and everything the next eighteen years would bring—there was us. And there still is.

4️⃣ SOMETHING MADE JUST FOR ME ✨
I carried Tarina Tarantino pieces in our store, The Place, and Tarina custom-made my wedding headpiece with Swarovski crystals especially for our wedding.

5️⃣ THE SHOES 👠✨
My Swarovski crystal Stuart Weitzman shoes were specially commissioned by Stuart Weitzman himself, made possible through our wonderful Ward Warehouse neighbor C. June of C. June Shoes. C. June has since passed, making this little piece of our wedding history even more precious.

6️⃣ THE DRAGONFLY ✨
A Swarovski crystal dragonfly rested on my bouquet—one tiny detail that became a little time capsule of that day.

7️⃣ OUR VILLAGE 🌺
Family and friends surrounded us, celebrated us and witnessed our promise. We didn’t walk into marriage alone.

8️⃣ JOY 🥂
And then we celebrated! 😂 We had absolutely no idea how much LIFE was waiting for us.

9️⃣ ALWAYS WITH US ❤️
Some of the beautiful souls who shared that day with us are no longer physically here, including my beloved little brother Brandon. Seeing him standing inside one of the happiest chapters of our lives is a gift I treasure even more today. Forever loved. Forever part of our story.

🔟 STILL US. ❤️
Eighteen years later.

We’ve built. We’ve lost. We’ve started again. We’ve laughed—a LOT. 😂 We’ve become parents, grown together and lived a whole lot of life. We’ve built. We’ve lost. We’ve started again. We’ve laughed—a LOT. 😂 We’ve become parents, grown together and lived a whole lot of life.

And after 24 uninterrupted years together, the simplest truth remains:

I’m still happy to be with my love.

Chris, I chose you then.
I choose you now.
And knowing everything these years would contain—

I’d still choose you. ❤️

Happy 18th Wedding Anniversary, my love.

24 years together.

Hair. Hair. Everywhere. 😂💇🏽‍♀️

Every school morning starts with brushes, braids, ponytails, and one question…

“Are we almost done?” 😆

My dad always reminded me:

“It’s not what’s on your head—it’s what’s in your head that matters.”

Today our girls begin a new chapter.

🎭 Zoe → 7th Grade + cast in Beetlejuice

🏃🏽‍♀️ Belle → 11th Grade + Cross Country + building Kumu Ko

May this year be filled with learning, laughter, courage, friendship, and God’s protection.

Go Lady Lancers! 💛🤍

Love,
Mom 💕

Hawaiʻi, mahalo. 🌺🙏🏾

This week our ʻohana had the privilege of sharing the Coradorables story on Hawaiʻi News Now after being recognized as the National Retail Federation’s 2026 America’s Retail Champion.

What viewers saw on television was only a few minutes.

What they didn’t see were the conversations, the preparation, the incredible crew, and the moments our girls experienced behind the scenes.

Coradorables isn’t simply an apparel company.

We are a storytelling company that designs products, partnerships, and experiences connecting people to culture, community, and purpose.

Thank you to the entire Hawaiʻi News Now and HiNow Daily team for welcoming our family.

This is only the beginning.

🌺 Tomorrow is a special day.

I’m honored to join HI Now Daily with Kainoa Carlson to share the story behind Coradorables and what it means to be recognized as one of the National Retail Federation’s 2026 America’s Retail Champions.

This recognition isn’t just for building a business—it’s also for advocating for small businesses and the communities they serve. That mission has taken me from Hawaiʻi to our nation’s capital, where I’ve had the privilege of speaking up for entrepreneurs across America.

What began as a dream rooted in Hawaiʻi has grown into a mission to prove that storytelling can connect people to culture, strengthen communities, inspire lifelong learning, and create meaningful opportunities for small businesses.

We’ll also be sharing the inspiration behind our Groovy Hibiscus 🌺 Collection, why we proudly design and manufacture in Hawaiʻi, and how our family continues to build Coradorables with purpose.

📺 Join us Tuesday at 3:00 PM HST on HI Now Daily with Kainoa Carlson.

Mahalo to everyone who has encouraged us, supported us, worn our designs, read our stories, and believed in our vision. Every step of this journey has been possible because of an incredible community that continues to lift us up.

We hope you’ll join us tomorrow as we celebrate Hawaiʻi, small business, and the power of storytelling.

With aloha and gratitude,

Cora Spearman-Chang 🌺
