I ask myself this question a lot...
"How can Wilderness Muse create more opportunities for local artists and makers?"
That question is at the center of everything we've built from the beginning, and this holiday season we're approaching it two different ways.
First, we're expanding Second Sundays into Holiday Sundays (with one Saturday peppered in on December 5th because the Fairview Handmade Market (https://www.fairviewhandmademarket.com/) happens on December 6th!).
Every week from Thanksgiving to Christmas, we'll host a rotating market at Wilderness Muse. More dates means more opportunities for artists and makers during the most important selling season of the year, and more reasons for our community to come out, meet the people behind the work, and intentionally shop handcrafted.

We also know that there are very talented humans reading this who don't feel ready to fill out a market application quite yet.
You make something, you're good at it, maybe your friends keep telling you that you should sell it, and maybe you're just sick of having so much of your product in your basement or spare bedroom! Whatever the case may be, if you have thought about doing a market but don't know how much inventory you need, what to charge, what your booth should look like, or even which markets are worth applying for:
We want to help you get there. (https://square.link/u/yXRWNFrY)
This fall I'm launching Hobby to Holidays, a 5-week live learning series designed to help makers get market-ready before Christmas.
There were years when I personally did 250+ markets a year like a crazy person. I've sold at them, worked with market companies, helped organize them and also host them at various levels of organization. I've made plenty of mistakes along the way, and people ask me questions about markets all the time. It finally occurred to me that this knowledge is genuinely useful for others to have in the same place!
For $75, we'll meet live on Zoom once a week for 5 weeks and work through the practical stuff: pricing, product readiness, applications, inventory, displays, merchandising, selling in person, and prepping for market day. You'll get real, tactical advice that doesn't overthink it, and you'll have live access to replays, learning materials, and live Q+A.
We aren't going to end this course with a bunch of information sitting in a notebook.
All class participants will have an opportunity to take what they've learned and put it to practice during our Holiday Sundays Market Season at Wilderness Muse during one of the following four dates:
November 29th (click to see the facebook event and RSVP (https://www.facebook.com/share/1GRwUFzAXy/) )
December 5th (This is a Saturday. click to see the facebook event and RSVP (https://www.facebook.com/share/19WoXDWg5r/) )
December 13th (click to see the facebook event and RSVP (https://www.facebook.com/share/1QACxCv7Yv/) )
December 20th (click to see the facebook event and RSVP (https://www.facebook.com/share/1BiWtgUzVW/) )
You absolutely do not have to take the course to apply for our holiday markets. Established vendors, new makers, and everyone in between are welcome to submit the interest form. Our class participants are just guaranteed a 6' table spot at one date of their choosing!
I want Wilderness Muse to be a place where creative people can sell their work, and also a place where someone who has never sold a single thing can learn how to start.
More doors opening for creative curiosity, more opportunities for local commerce, and more money going directly into the hands of the tradespeople in our community is our goal here.
The Holiday Sundays application and Hobby to Holiday registration is live on our website main page. I can't wait to see what magic we make together this holiday season!
