Kid vendor spotlight: Meet Violet!

At just 10 years old, she’s already a sewing pro! After getting a sewing machine for her birthday, Violet’s been crafting lavender sachets, catnip pouches, and cozy rice eye masks — and sharing them with friends and family.
Now, she’s ready to sell her handmade creations, including cute bags, pet bandanas, skirts, and coasters. With tons of creativity and heart, Violet’s stitching her way into the Spring Fairview Kids Maker’s Market!

Kid vendor shout out goes to Emilia, who's only seven and has crafted her own collection of bows and arrows from natural materials. They're all safety-checked with stoppers, and she'll even be showing others how to make them at the market.

We are back this Spring for the Fairview Kids Maker's Market! Applications are opening for email subscribers today (3/7). If you'd like to join the email list to apply early, the link to the form is below. Please note that accepted vendors for the canceled November event will have priority for May if they apply early. There are room for 30 vendors for children aged 12 and below who hand-make their items.

After our initial application period for our email list (opt-in to those below), we are opening this event to the public (that's you!).

Here's what you need to know:

📅 When: Sunday, November 10th | 11am-3pm

📍 Where: Root Cause Farm | 26 Joe Jenkins Rd, Fairview, NC 28730

🧒🏽 Who: For children 12 and under who hand-make the products they sell (please no parent-made items)

🎪 What: The November event will have live music, a scavenger hunt, a food truck, and some other activities for the kids that Root Cause Farm will help coordinate.

3️⃣0️⃣ How Many: There is room for 30 vendors

💸 How Much: The booth cost is $20 per 10x10' booth (you must provide your own tent with weights and tables)

💰 Cash Prizes: We are back with $25 cash prizes for Best Booth Design, Best Wearable Item, Best Art/Craft Item (2 awarded), and Best Edible Item. These will be voted on by vendors and announced at the end of the event.

Thanks to our sponsors, we've added several prizes for the kid vendors. They will each be able to vote for one of their peers for 💰 $25 cash prizes 💰 awarded to 5 different vendors for:

- Best Booth Design / Display
- Most Creative Art or Craft Item (2 awarded)

We are gearing up for the rescheduled Fairview Kids Maker's Market this Sunday, June 9th 11-3pm at Root Cause Farm! Here's one of my favorite photos from the first market we did last summer.
