As a photographer, I could talk all day about the value of hiring someone to capture your day to have photos to look back on.
For reasons like having tangible pieces of your day to hold, flip through, and display throughout your home.
For reasons like getting to see the full experience your guests had, your parents had, and the little in-between moments. You get to see everyone’s POV from your wedding day — how you looked at the end of the aisle, how your mom tried to hide her tears when she helped you into your dress (but I caught them), or how your spouse looks at you as you dance with your loved one.
For reasons like knowing you won’t get this day back — and no matter how good your memory might be now — your gallery will guide you through the big and small moments, helping to remind you of sweet moments you might’ve shared before anyone was around. Like when your sibling whispered a loving sentiment that morning or how your grandparent slipped you some money for the honeymoon during a hug.
But I also know the value in video. How it captures the literal movement of you and your spouse as you walk down the aisle or run through your exit. Or how you shared your first bite of cake as husband and wife. It has the opportunity to show you how your friends jump up and down in excitement or the way your grandmother laughs with her whole body. And what I think to be the most of important of all, aside from you two having your own memory to watch, your future family or new friends in the years to come get to watch the day that started your family. A day you can walk them through with your photos on your phone and your heirloom album - but also through a special experience video can provide, too.
So book the power trio: a planner, a photographer, and a videographer ✨
