Saturday at the stand.
Ohhhhhhhh we got a little rain last night, and the fall feels are in the air this am. It was just what I needed. Fall is one of my fav season for the simple fact that everything starts slowing down, the planning for a clean slate starts happening while reflecting on the season, and the kids are back to running xc and that means more family time. It’s coming to an end friends. Enjoy them while they are here 🩷

It is year round farming for us, and the family moto is “Bringing joy to families one stem💐and tree🎄at a time.” Our fam is starting to prep for the next big season. CHRISTMAS TREES. Matt is the farmer. I’m the educator/cheerleader/extra set of hands. We typically sell wholesale, but this season I will have our trees for sale during Holidays in the Freckled Bloom Workshop (11/28). Keep following along to learn more about the varieties we grow and more details on our event 🎄

Hey friends! As I change the water in my flowers this am, I wanted to remind you that summer flowers are the dirtiest. They lovvvvve filling the vase with bacteria, and why I am reminding you a lot to change the water daily. Some stems (rudbeckia for example) will actually get clogged and start to droop. Give them a trim, some clean water, and watch them perk up again. I’m huge on quality control and want you to have the best experience, so thanks again for hearing me out 😘

Sustainability has been from the very beginning a very important pillar in my business - from flower farming to floristry. I am blessed to have the most beautiful office space ever, and over my last 6 yrs in business I’ve become soooo in touch with Mother Nature and allll of its wonders. It is what makes me soo passionate to do anything in my power to protect it. There are so many elements within the floristry world (e.g. the carbon footprint of imported flowers, floral foam, just to name a few) that are horrible for our environment and something we can make a choice about that makes a huge impact. One of the first books I read when I started flower farming described in gross detail the waste in floristry, and I vowed that I would be different. I would find other more sustainable mechanics, I would educate my consumers, and I would challenge the status quo. With that in mind, I sold my FB Garden Bunches in a recycled jar, and I ask that you continue to bring them back to keep them out of the trash and living a beautiful life. When I grow my flowers from seed, I am super contentious of all my inputs and outputs. I use soil blocking to maximize my growing resources and reduce plastic waste, and my seedlings are healthier for it. I do not use landscape fabric or plastic in my field. I practice no till and cover 100% of my beds with flower material. This maximizes my output, while the companion and interplanting offers biodiversity and supports pollinators and the entire ecosystem. As a result, the biodiversity I have experienced and health of my plants have seen amazing results. We ALL can make little changes to make a difference. Just by purchasing local flowers, you are making a HUGE difference. Sooo thank you friends for choosing Freckled Bloom Flower Farm, and returning your jars to the stand 😘💚

In honor of fair week and my special friends that save me their wool…. I spent a greater part of this week w**ding, spreading seed, AND laying my wool in pathways. Amazing NATURAL w**d barrier. Every morsel was used and will always take more!!! 🐑

Hi it’s me again… reminding to change your water daily. 😘. It’s dirty flower season, and those stems leach bacteria in the water bad, and will kill your flowers faster. Soooo if you don’t want to drink that water, neither do your flowers. Thanks for supporting your Estacada Flower Farmer Florist💚
