Love love love seeing all the Bloom Tour posts from my local florist friends busily creating their gorgeous flower installs all over downtown Portland. I am not participating this year because we just have such a full plate with wedding season in full swing, but I’ll definitely find some time to walk the Bloom Tour map and see all the delightful installs! I invite you all to do the same!

Bloom Tour kicks off this Thursday May 21 and runs through June 8. Several talented florists were invited by to build large floral + botanical installations at various storefronts, hotels, and businesses throughout Downtown and Old Town Portland. There’s also a floral couture fashion show featuring and other florists and an aerial arts performance! Check out bloomtourpdx.com for all the details!

Intentionality and sentimentality are among my favorite values to weave in my work as a wedding florist. For Victoria and Mark’s wedding flowers, we intentionally selected locally grown spring flowers like peonies, ranunculus, and snap dragons to honor their Pacific Northwest love story and their love of Oregon, and paired them cohesively with tropical varieties like anthurium, orchids and monstera to honor Mark’s islander heritage.

Happy 15th birthday to my sweet boy, Jackson!! I adore you!! You’re thoughtful and inquisitive, industrious and fun, and I love how much you like to help!

Help me wish him congratulations and good luck as he heads to district championship this week for track and field for FOUR events!
