Born in Dayton, Ohio, DJ Venus grew up in the 80's with all it's glitz and glamour. DJ Venus' career as a DJ began in 2000 when he first came out to the gay scene. After months of fine tuning and learning the ropes of the scene, a very young DJ did guests spots and then regularly appeared at Jessie's Celebrity. He remained with Celebrity as their Resident DJ from 2000 until it's close in early 2006. In early 2007, DJ Venus' year was brought in with a bang as he was named "DJ of the Year" at the annual Masquie Awards at Club Masque in Dayton, Ohio. In 2009 he then became Resident DJ of Exile Bar in Columbus, Ohio and in 2012 was voted Columbus' Coldest DJ for Gaycities.com & MillerCoors. After Exile closed in 2016, he took a year off and then started working larger venues and events to this day. He's also had the honor to work with many celebrities such as Deborah Cox, Inaya Day, Amber, and many more.

Not sure who needs to hear this but based off my drive this AM in the Capital City, SEVERAL do so here it is from the State of Ohio itself. Pay CLOSE attention to the last sentence of the next paragraph:

for school buses! Stay alert and know when to stop: On a two or three lane road – drivers on BOTH SIDES of the road must stop when a bus is dropping off or picking up students. ON👏🏽ROADS👏🏽WITH👏🏽FOUR👏🏽OR👏🏽MORE👏🏽LANES👏🏽– drivers traveling the opposite direction of the bus DO👏🏽NOT👏🏽 have to stop.

You would (probably not) be surprised how many people can do this with caution, but not stop at a traffic light or use a turn signal, or pass people in a center turn lane.... 🙄🙄

Such a beautiful fall day today, we've had some pretty amazing weather lately if I do say so!

We visited the Circleville Pumpkin Show today as we do every year! I must say I exercised a LOT of restraint everything is SOOOOOOO good!

I remember my best friend had that water bed with the mirror/shelf as the headboard (IYKYK) and was SHOOK after we watched Candyman. It fu**ed a lot of us up then lol.

If menory serves, I think a lot of children bought leather trenchcoats and hooks that year for Halloween costumes.

What can I say, the 80's & 90's was build different! 🤣🤣🤣

I remember when Candyman came out in 1992 and suddenly every kid was daring their friends to say his name five times in the mirror. I don’t think any horror movie had us more terrified of our own bathrooms. I could barely say it twice! Did anyone actually make it to five?

Attended the No Kings rally in Columbus today and I always smile seeing everyone from ages 1 -91 there united in one message, make a better place for us ALL not just some. I definitely love attending them but kinda sad the crowd smaller than last. The message is loud and clear tho and I saw some fun signs and shirts.

Sometimes I have to sit back and really take it all in. 🥹💜 Just a girl from Cleveland, Ohio, with a dream and a whole lot of LUV for music. To even be in a position to say “For Your Grammy Consideration” is something I once could only dream of.

This journey has taught me that no dream is too big and nothing is out of reach when you truly believe in yourself. Still so much more to accomplish, but moments like this remind me how far I’ve come. Anything is possible, it really is. 🥹✨
