I’m not just planning a wedding--I am marrying the stylistic and strategic details of the day that marks the beginning of a beautiful new adventure. A day that represents years of courtship, the blossoming of love, and of all those indelible memories shared both by the Bride and Groom and by family and friends. From the way a Bride feels when she finally finds the perfect wedding dress, to the fee

ling of having your nearest and dearest all in one room, to the joy you feel when you see all the swoon worthy details debut that were perfectly styled to represent you as a couple, it is the joy around your wedding day that keeps me so enthralled.

I love working with families over the years on siblings weddings. A few years ago at the end of a North Carolina family property wedding, the sweet sister of the Bride said “I hope you know YOU are the only one my Mom will allow to plan my wedding now, and I hope to get married in Italy”. A few years later, this sweet sister, Olivia called me and asked “Will you plan my wedding….in Italy?” I would have planned it anywhere for her - but my YES came a little quicker than usual 🇮🇹

Olivia and Sam selected for their wedding venue based on its vibes and reputation for amazing service and food. All those components delivered for their event last weekend!

It was an honor + adventure to lead them through the destination wedding planning process. The project kicked off with researching so many Italian vendors that I wasn’t familiar with as it would be best to hire local talent vs flying too many vendors in from the US. I love playing matchmaker between a client and a vendor based on style {and personality when it’s needed}. We scouted, interviewed and hired the best florists, rentals, stationery designers, musicians, photographers + DJ. All talented, all kind, all on board to bring the right vibe.

I created a design deck to reflect the color story, floral designs, linens, paper goods, rental items, special touches to make the day feel just like Olivia + Sam. We edited plans pivoted and pushed when needed, followed up over and over until the plans were just right.

Thankful for the best team members, trusting clients, the prettiest weather and so many talented vendors that all pulled together to make this day spectacular.

April showers, bring May flowers {Hello peony season!}…and often times more May showers 🌧️ .

One of the many perks of selecting Spring for your wedding season is so much of the South couldn’t be prettier. On the other hand, it’s rainy season.

As a Wedding Planner, you always need to have a rain plan, be ready to pivot to said plan, lead vendors through new plan, and readjust said rain plans for each client and venue. A lot of times the rain becomes a main character on the wedding weekend! Different venues dictate different approaches - whether officially adding your rain plan tent that was on hold, or sourcing side walls to an existing tent for blowing rain, renting high power fans to dry out wet draping or muddy grass, passing out umbrellas you brought onsite, sweeping water out of patio area with poor drainage, adjusting ceremony times to avoid rain, switching first look photos to be inside reception space, or having to move a band inside because of blowing rain damaging their equipment - I’ve seen it all! Weather is the one thing vendors have no control over - but having the right team in place to work together to implement the backup plan is of the utmost importance.

If you had rain on your wedding day, leave me an ☔️ below!

It’s Testimonial Tuesday, where I let my clients do the talking 😉🙏🏼

“From our first meeting with Jessica, I knew we were in great hands! She understood our vision and knew exactly what we wanted, helping us secure the perfect venue and vendors for an out of town wedding - all within 9 months! Her attention to detail and dedication made our wedding incredibly special. Working with Jessica was such a blessing, and we couldn’t have done it without her!” - Macy

I love being in the business of witnessing peoples love stories. The fun thing about weddings - is there are so many love stories - from the actual Bride & Groom, to parents / offspring, old + new friendships, siblings, grandparents - there is so much love. And weddings are one of the few times in life we dedicate to gather + celebrate this love and admiration for each other.

From the actual marriage that takes place on a wedding day, to seeing best friends from various stages of life gather + giggle the morning away while getting ready with the bride, to seeing a Mother of the Bride place her own wedding day veil on her daughters head, to the quiet but nerve filed moment it’s just a father and his daughter about to walk down the aisle, to hearing the youngest brother toast his older brother and new sister-in-law at the reception, to gathering up the great grandmother to take a photo with the newlyweds. So many love stories all wrapped up into a wedding day.

Happy Valentine’s Day - enjoy the ones you love a little extra on this sweet day. 🩷

A Charleston wedding was the perfect fit for these two. The groom, a Citadel graduate had hopes of being married in the historic Summerall Chapel on campus. Both Macy + Andrew wanted an intimate reception with their nearest and dearest family members and friends.

served as the perfect venue for their 100 guests. We started with cocktail hour on the rooftop followed by a seated dinner in the ballroom, and finished up with music + mingling in Henrietta’s.

Here we are, at the end of January, 2025 and I’m proud to say I have entered my 18th year of being a Wedding Planner 🎉 As I type this, I am realizing I must plan a 20th Anniversary Party! 🥂

I’m forever grateful for a career that allows me to guide others with making decisions, the chance to design events that feel like a natural extension of my clients personal style, the opportunity to do the heavy lifting during year long {or more!} planning process so that clients can focus on their own careers and also the festivities related to celebrating the upcoming marriage and once the day arrives- to actually enjoy their time with dear friends and family.

2025 weddings will take me to my hometown of Columbia, SC | Greenville, SC | Atlanta, GA | Highlands, NC | Porto Ercole, Italy.

Thank you to my current, past and future clients 😉 for your trust and the fun we have along the way!
