It absolutely did not rain on our parade on this wedding day, no matter how hard it tried!

We had the most wonderful vendor teams pull together to make it the most spectacular experience.

Soft pastels mixed in with a little pop of boldness brought this classic white venue to life.

A year ago I had the phenomenal opportunity to visit Florence, Italy with some of my best friends.

This experience was life-changing to say the least – what I took away from it was invaluable.

I am always so inspired by my surroundings and experiences when I travel - from ceiling textures and architectural elements to native foods and wine pairings… I tried to soak as much in as possible wherever I went. And the PEOPLE! I met the most amazing people that I still stay connected to and will always.

I took hundreds of photos and have thousands of memories from this trip that I call upon daily – memories are what fuel us going forward, sometimes on bad days to help us through, sometimes on good days to remind us how lucky we are.

Making memories is what we do ❤️

Today is a good day for color!

I love looking back on the BIO 20th anniversary party. My highest priority was that we had a lot of color and that it was bold, powerful and full of personality – I think that was accomplished in a big way by all the amazing vendors that dedicated their talent and vision to work alongside us to create this memorable event.

One of my favorite colors is green, so incorporating that came first – I made a request at the very beginning for column surrounds and Crisp Event Rentals rose to the challenge by creating custom hardware and drapes to really make those pop. ❤️

From there, truly it snowballed❣️❣️

Photo 1: I jokingly called this our ‘wrench’ table as that’s what the shape reminded me of, but it worked beautifully between the columns. Hola Lola Floral Co. | Chicago + South Carolina Floral Designer truly blew us away with a stunning hanging install and table top florals. Its undulating shape gave softness in the industrial ceiling.

Photo 2: When Party Reflections told me they had a sofa in my perfect color I was sold – it matched so beautifully with all of our details- Kevin Lear On Main created these dramatic florals to bring together our elements with the amazing dance floor wrap by Crisp Event Rentals. Photo 3: The stairs turned into a great photo opt with one of our bars with our custom pattern front and
beautiful spilling fabric colors down the staircase. The I-beam in the corner was given a lot of love by the floral install from Something Special

Photo 4: Scott Hall Catering created the scrumptious charcuterie display on the custom hanging acrylic table created by Crisp. Scott Jones made the garden grow underneath it and it was phenomenal.

Photo 5: if you know me, you know I love a beautiful bar, mission accomplished here! From our custom pattern on the back wall to the beautiful bar menu inserts on the front- Crisp nailed it. Kevin Lear On Main added just enough floral pop on the ends😉

Photo 6: One final fun element was the bar height serpentine tables around the column for seating – too fun.

Warmer weather- bring on the beautiful outdoor weddings❣️

The Hampton Preston lawn was the perfect setting for this sail-cloth tented event.

Our color palette of greens, peach, coral and orange came together with textured lines and lush floral design.

Add in custom artwork by the bride’s sister-in-law and you have a complete package for wedding day.

Today would’ve been my wonderful parents 60th wedding anniversary.

We lost my mom unexpectedly October 19 of 2025.

My mother was my biggest cheerleader and supporter, everything from taking me to the barn each weekend before I could drive to clean stalls so I could take riding lessons to being my first employee when I started this business of wedding planning.

Mom had a magic trick for getting wax out of cylinder vases after each event, she would wash charger plates, she would cut cake at weddings as she loved to do so much. And her only payment was that she got to take one floral centerpiece home🥰

But one of the biggest things she taught me was that life was about experiences and making memories and each time we get to create an event for our couples, that’s what we do.

I realized when I lost her how important those memories are and why she always insisted I go above and beyond.

My parents are a beautiful inspiration of commitment and dedication in all their years together.

My heart breaks every day she is not with me now – but I want to continue to make her proud.

This photo always makes me giggle as my parents got married in their home literally a block from where I live now.

You have to love that gorgeous, large football mum and of course the gun rack on the wall.

I love how a classic black and white wedding design can steal the show!

Balancing the light and dark with layers is lovely and the delicate blooms soften all the edges.

And yes, I enjoined the custom ice luge 😉
