Lately, we keep hearing the same thing from our couples: they loved their photo guest book.

It’s always included in our one simple wedding package because if you ask us the best keepsakes are the ones you can hold.

We set up the guest book beside the bus, where our attendant helps your guests add a copy of their photo and leave a note. By the end of the night, it’s filled with heartfelt messages, inside jokes and playful doodles.

It becomes archive of not only who was there, but how it felt to celebrate together.

We always love rolling out to weddings at Liane Christensen in Chico, Ca.

The days there seem to unfold with so much ease.

The grounds are beautifully maintained and thoughtfully laid out, and Liane and her team are warm, organized and attentive to every detail.

For this wedding, Fern, our photo booth bus was tucked onto the back patio of the barn, becoming one of the first stops after the ceremony and entertaining guests during cocktail hour.

We want to give a shout out to the vendor team that helped bring ALLISON GRIFFIN ‘s vision to life.

It’s been a while since we introduced ourselves here, so I thought I’d start at the beginning, and share why we began Fernweh.

We wanted more time with our daughter, the freedom to create our own schedules and the opportunity to build something together as a family.

It’s been two years since we bought Fern, fixed her up and reintroduced her as Fernweh Photo Bus.

We couldn’t be more grateful for the support we’ve received or for the life this little bus is helping us create.

I’m Sarah, and you’ll usually find me behind the scenes, working on design and social media, answering your emails and calls, and tending to all the little details.

Fred is often the one attending weddings and events, welcoming your guests and taking care of the bus.

And every once in a while, at markets and family-friendly events, you’ll find the whole crew together, including our tiniest roadie.

We’re so glad you found us.

At Fernweh, we offer one simple photo booth rental package for weddings with thoughtful customization.

Here are answers to common questions about our service:

1. Setup: We arrive early to set up completely before guests arrive, ensuring the booth blends with your decor and ambiance.

2. Attendant: Yes, an onsite attendant is included to welcome guests, troubleshoot, keep the area tidy, and help fill your guest book throughout the event.

3. Photo Authenticity: All photos on our website and social media are from our own events, styled shoots, or branding sessions. No stock photos or other companies’ work, what you see is what you get.

4. Inclusions & Customization: Your package includes printed keepsakes, digital copies, and a photo guest book. You can choose color or black & white, fully customize print designs, and select from our artisan-made backdrops.

5. Coverage Time: Our wedding package includes up to five hours of open booth time, ideal for most weddings. The clock only runs when the booth is open, so you’re not charged for pauses during ceremonies, dinner, speeches, or first dances. We’ll coordinate with you and your planner for a seamless schedule.

Hi there 👋 We’re Sarah and Fred, the family behind Fernweh Photo Bus. And this is Pearl, our tiniest roadie.

Sarah is the creative eye behind the styling, photographs and thoughtful details, and the person answering your emails and texts.

Fred is often the one you’ll find hosting the booth, welcoming guests and keeping the photo strips rolling.

Pearl loves testing the settings while we all say, “Two!” ✌️☮️

For the past two years, Fern has carried our family to celebrations across Northern California, giving us more time outdoors, more freedom to wander and more reasons to gather.
