We had a wonderful Art & W**e Walk!

Although last night was AMAZING for the community…
From biz owner perspective:
- we had no planning meetings on this event
- 3rd was closed without notice to me
- 2 emails only from DCBA this month:
1. A promise to start sending a newsletter 🤣👍
2. A vague email, and instructions to visit the website
Spoiler Alert: this signature event wasn’t on the website under the events… nowhere that I could at least.

I love our events!
Yesterday was great for the community!

Yet, we have 400+ members need to be involved, allowed into the meetings that our bylaws promise us, and we need the curtain stripped away… not newsletters from what happens behind closed doors.

Clearly I’m not stopping this side quest until we have a better DCBA for our members.

Our little press conference link to come today…

In response to the rip and clip from Actions News, I wanted to expand my screen time to be more transparent than I feel Action News was.
Thank you to all the media and community members that came. Looking forward to seeing a more thorough story to be released.

🪦 One last sweet Halloween.

Sweet Chico’s final day open will be October 30th, during Treat Street. 🧡

Our candy liquidation is happening NOW through October 30th, with discounts already in place, while supplies last.

With our lease ending, concerns about DCBA leadership, the city’s lack of code enforcement, and growing downtown vacancies led us to make the difficult decision to close.

To our customers, neighbors, and friends: thank you for making Sweet Chico part of your lives. Every visit and sweet memory meant so much to us.

Come stock up on your favorites and say goodbye. Let’s make our last Treat Street a sweet one. 🍬🎃
