Wedding signage is such a beautiful way to elevate your overall look. It adds intentionality, charm, and immediately gives your guests a sense of your style and personality.

I always encourage my brides to get creative with their signage! You can hire someone locally to custom design it, order through Etsy or Amazon, create your own design on Canva and print it locally, or even use The Knot for simple, cohesive options.

It’s a small detail that makes a big impact.

Shoutout to for teaching me this trick while planning my own wedding: get a box for all your detail shots and flatlay items.

Flatlays might seem intimidating, but they don’t have to be. Your “detail box” can hold anything from rings, invitations, ribbons, and flowers, to shoes, perfume, notes, Polaroids… even a Taco Bell sauce packet if you’re like me (iykyk 😉).

I got my box from TJ Maxx. It was a gift box, super cute, and I still have it with all the sentimental items from my wedding. The best part? Keeping everything in one box helps you avoid losing important items like your vow books, rings, or marriage license.

Trust me, the last thing you want on your wedding morning is scrambling to find 4+ little things for your photographer while you’re supposed to be relaxing and getting ready.

I try to avoid the term “day-of coordinator” because that’s really not what I offer. I’m a wedding coordinator, and there’s a pretty big difference.
As a coordinator, I’m involved in the planning process well before the wedding day. I communicate with vendors in the months leading up to the event, and I schedule 2-3 meetings with each couple to make sure everything is on track for a smooth, successful day. I genuinely feel that the term “day-of coordinator” doesn’t fully reflect the level of work and support I actually provide.
During those meetings, we go over the detailed timeline I build, the floor plan layout, and all the logistics that go into making the day run seamlessly. For most couples, this is their first time planning a wedding and having a professional walking alongside them makes all the difference. My role is to support them, guide them, and make sure nothing slips through the cracks.

Believe it or not, I didn’t do a first look at my own wedding, and I have zero regrets. My husband really didn’t want one, so I honored that.

That said, the couples I’ve worked with over the past year who did a first look were some of the most relaxed couples on their wedding day. It’s a wonderful way to help your day flow naturally and enjoy a peaceful, private moment together before all the excitement begins.
