As the Cottonwoods Snowed”
A Wedding Gift for Michelle & Seth Livengood
By Karen KK Saint ~ A Beautiful Soul Wedding Officiant
Beneath Montana’s storied sky,
The Yellowstone runs strong and wide,
Two hearts stood still, yet leapt as one,
Their journey now has just begun.
The Cottonwoods, in whispered grace,
Let loose their seeds like soft embrace,
Snowflakes in June, a silent cheer,
As love declared rang loud and clear.
Surrounded by their dearest friends,
By laughter that will never end,
They vowed not just with words, but soul,
With humor, tears, and hearts made whole.
Vow books cradled trembling hands,
Where ink gave voice to sacred plans,
To cherish, grow, forgive, be kind,
And hold the other’s wandering mind.
Michelle, with firelight in her eyes,
Spoke truths that left the crowd surprised.
Seth, with calm and steady tone,
Made promises that felt like home.
Their words were not rehearsed clichés,
But living vows to light their days
To find in flaws the gift of grace,
And in each trial, a sacred place.
The sky above played moody songs,
Where clouds danced and thunder belonged.
And just as lips had sealed the rite,
A single clap! Oh, Montana’s might.
A sign, perhaps, from those above,
Of joy, approval, strength, and love.
A sacred echo from the skies
That marriage, too, is bold and wise.
They stood in witness to the vow,
That this is all that matters now,
To live, to love, to share the load,
Together on life’s winding road.
So here’s to snow in summer air,
To laughter soft and wild prayer,
To vows held tight with trembling grace,
And rings that time cannot erase.
To skies that roar and roots that hold,
To stories written brave and bold,
May your love, like Montana land,
Be timeless, wild, and truly grand.
