When I began turning this land into a flower farm, we had a pretty intense coyote problem. In fact, we lost 13 ducks and chickens in the first two weeks. I was discouraged but started researching guardian options. The Great Pyrenees was highly recommended because they can deter predators on the ground and in the air. As luck would have it I found a "free" post on Craigslist for Pyrenees puppies. I will never forget their little heads looking out the window in the back seat as we made our way through the dark back to what would be their new farm. It has been a crazy ride with these boys. I have learned so much from them! They just turned seven this past summer and I wouldn't trade them for the world.

🌸Happy Saturday! It is an absolutely beautiful morning. The Farm Shop is stocked with sunflowers, a few mixed bouquets, zinnia bunches, and one emergency mason jar. 🤣 The bulk of the flowers are with me at Vine Street Market today. We are here until noon. Come and see us!🌸

Happy Saturday! It’s the Watermelon Festival up at Vine Street Market today and I am so glad to be back! The Farm Shop is stocked with mixed bouquets and mason jars with a 1:30 restock time and I am up here slinging flowers until noon. Come and see me!

🌺You can come anytime between 6-8pm
🌺 Park in the driveway or in the Bellevillle Sanitation parking lot across the street, or along the road starting at the sign.
🌺 Bring water, wear comfy shoes, and use the bathroom before you come. We don’t have a public restroom.

Back in the early 70s my parents, along with my aunt and uncle, moved out here to Durango, Colorado to open a ski shop across from the Purgatory Resort.

My dad and my uncle actually built the Shop. They were some of the happiest memories of his life. The Shop lasted four seasons until one bad one where there wasn’t enough snow. They decided to sell and leave the area. My dad has regretted it ever since, so as a kid this is where we came for our summer vacations, not every summer but MANY summers. It is a really special place to our family. Do you have a place where you would always go?
