andomly purchased a pack of tubers from a Wal-Mart in 2017. I strive to grow my flowers in symbiosis with nature. We try avoiding any use of harsh chemicals as we promote the life cycle of the natural world as much as possible here on our farm. My background is in wedding floral design for over a decade, and I decided to start growing my own flowers for the events I was designing. The rest is history!

I truly enjoyed bringing this tropical meets temperate floral styling to life for Sarah & Chris. It just shows how the right flowers can make the moment even more special. Bonus: I got to collaborate with one of my incredibly talented past brides’ who brought the vision of the entire day together. This was another really beautiful and soul satisfying creative moment for an amazing couple. I am so blessed.

I am really missing the sights and sounds of spring right now. I think more because I am just so excited for 2026! We will be reconfiguring the farm, doubling our production and introducing more ways for our community to share in the beauty of our flowers. I tend to be more of a slow burn these days. In my 30’s I rushed around a lot and thought if I didn’t keep a fiery, fast pace my business would get left in the dust. Now I’m in my 40’s and I know better than that. Slow and steady. A solid foundation. More moments for self care. More pauses to take it all in. Being present and going with the flow within your intended goals. It’s the sweet spot really. Must be why Spring is becoming my new favorite season. Mother Nature doesn’t rush. She wakes up at an organic pace, setting a strong tone for the season. If you move too fast you’ll miss her. And you don’t want to do that. Trust me.

We added a local pick up option for our dahlia tuber customers this year. Here I walk you through how to select the local pick up option. Orders are fulfilled starting in April and we will offer specific dates to get your order here at the farm. We cannot accommodate varying dates for each order so general pick up days will be the way we can provide this service. Please reach out if you have any questions!

I had to break up the dahlia party a little bit. I’ve been going through thousands of photos from this past year and I was reminded that Spring might just be squeezing to the top of my favorite seasons list. I just don’t think anything can really beat the freshness of spring, the one chance varieties, and the main selling point: the flowering branches! Oh how I love them! I have also noticed in uptick in spring weddings. Could we be seeing a cool down from all fall wedding chaos and demand? I hope so! Because spring is a unique time of year!

SPOTLIGHT: In an earlier post I mentioned I wanted to share dahlia varieties that were new to me in 2025 that I fell in love with. Enter Levi’s Dream Walk. I mean WOW. 😍 This plant was early to bloom and never stopped. Consistent, full of blooms on strong stems. You can page through the photos to see its color progression throughout the season. This is a truly magnificent dahlia and it IS a dream!
