“A wet knot is harder to untie” 🪢
Gabby & Bruce’s wedding ceremony goes down in the history books. With only a 15% chance of rain, the weather shifted right before ceremony (damn you, summer storms!). Despite trying to hurry and pleading with the clouds, within seconds of making it down the aisle, the sky OPENED UP. 🌧️ With a collective effort by Airlie and Dani, I was throwing out umbrellas like I was Oprah (you get an umbrella, you get an umbrella!)☔️. Luckily the planned ceremony was already short, but the guests hung tight and when I tell you that G & B were completely unbothered🤯. As a coordinator, you can only control so much and having clients that roll with the punches can be so rare sometimes, so I’m endlessly grateful that these two just basked in the craziness and said they wouldn’t change a thing. I know their guests won’t soon forget that summer day we got drenched in rain and love!💕

Other highlights:
💐G & B had an explosion of color for their palate, which was a beautiful nod to a fleeting summer
🪩They didn’t do a first dance! But instead did the Hora after being introduced into the reception
🥂Each parent did a toast and they did a T-shirt toss instead of a bouquet toss !
🥁The band had the dance floor rolling all night long!

I don't think I've mentioned it in a few years, mostly because wedding season ramps up around this time and I'm trying to lock in 🔐 but today is Farrever After Events 7️⃣th anniversary 🎉

7 years ago on September 4th, after spending a week reeling from being unjustly let go from a job at a toxic venue - I put all my energy and spite into building an entire brand from the ground up. I already had nearly 2 years of experience and 100 weddings under my belt, I felt unstoppable. My hunger to prove they made a mistake, to succeed on my own and make a name for myself was all consuming. I created an LLC, hit publish on my websites and social media channels. All within 7 days. When I say I hit the ground RUNNINGGGG ya'll. I was sprinting. I went completely grass roots. Researching and calling and emailing venues to set up tours to introduce myself. Driving all over the DMV to those tours. I was meeting potential clients IN PERSON just for a discovery chat LOL (some followers on here are still from that era!) and was pricing myself embarassingly low until I could build clientle. I was lucky enough to get on some venue preferred vendor lists that I still exist on today 🙌 All that effort also led me to be hired by 2 venues for part time employment I wasn't even seeking at the time, but made all the difference as well.

2026 has been busy for with our numbers climbing higher than all previous years ‼️

I'm so proud of the growth over the last seven years, of the trust clients continually put in us year after year and that we've maintained 5 stars ⭐️ through it all. I'm also so grateful that I'm still able to do this full-time, and the life that it grants me on the other side of owning my business. I may miss a lot of personal social events that happen on weekends, even skipping over my own birthday because it's mid busy season. But the lifestyle I get as the trade off is still worth it. And I'm only able to do it because of Y-O-U 💕 so thank you 🥰

Join me in wishing Dani a very happy birthday!!

We've celebrated 20 birthdays together ‼️ and I can't quantify how game changing having Dani on the team for FAE has been for me. She brings fresh and calming energy, a pure passion for weddings (when I can get jaded LOL ya'll be wild sometimes) and honestly it feels like an unstoppable force when we get to tackle a wedding day together. And to have full confidence she will deliver on her lead wedding days, it's priceless.

We've witnessed a lot of love in working 3 years of weddings together. But honestly, our love story is my favorite of all 💕 Happy birthday, my sister, my best friend 💜

Logan & Isabel had a beautifully simple wedding day, that ran so ahead of schedule they got to dance for 3+ hours 🤯but I tell you what this crew knew how to party 🎉

Some highlights:
💜Logan’s dad was their officiant and gave a warm blessing before their meal
👗 Isabel’s dress was STUNNING and she was so emotional before walking down the aisle 🥺🥺
🪩Their first dance was joined with an anniversary dance where married couples joined in!
🫶I think they win for largest wedding party of the year - 9 & 10 each side ! And the tiniest cutting cake with the cutest toppers.

There’s a first time for everything, and Alex and Jake gave me a lot of firsts for a venue that I’m at all the time! It was my first ceremony in the upper gardens with cocktail in the lower gardens, first tent on property and first greenery install On the bistro lights in the pavilion! And let me just say - I loved it! 💕And I loved all the special moments of A & Js big day like:

📖 Family members and friends reading their own passages in place of the 7 blessings during the ceremony. Also when their officiant asked for
Audience participation and had guests stand if they’d held them as a baby, celebrated a holiday, been part of a club with them, seen them do something embarrassing, played a game w them, went to school w them; worked w them, shared a meal, been welcomed into their home, laughed w them etc. it was a powerful visual of the love and support they have in their life.

👔 they had FUN with their wedding and it was tailored to them! Between a fun dress code of funky ties and earrings, and even providing some if anyone felt left out. To leaning into all things renaissance, shrek (!?🤣) their beloved pets and nods to their shared passion for social justice. The details all felt personal and intentional.

They had a selfie tattoo station and a funny little magazine that detailed their first 3 dates (it got a little spicy 🤣🌶️) but it was clear they were already planning their future even after date 1. And I just love that they now get to live that future together all while helping others 😭
