Happy Navratri to all my dear friends.

Navratri simple means ‘nine nights’. In India, this festival represents the fight between Goddess Durga and a demon named Mahishasura. The fight went on for nine nights and Goddess achieved victory on the tenth day, which is celebrated as Dussehra or Vijayadashmi.

So, during this time people tend to fast. Thus, Hindus eat a simple food known as Vrat Ka khana or fasting- food.
To maintain the simplicity, they avoid onions, garlic, grains and table salt.

While it’s traditional and devotional to many, some call it spiritual and some as detox, when fasting!

Here is one of my fav Panneer Vrat Ka khana, the most simple and minimalistic Panneer recipes.

Wishing everyone a blessed Navratri again 🙏

Happy Krishna Janmashtami! ✨🦚

Looking back at this sweet memory when our little one dressed up as Krishna.

Time flies, but the joy, mischief, and blessings he brought into our home feel just like yesterday! 💛

Wishing everyone a blessed and joyous Janmashtami filled with love, laughter, and sweet moments.

What does independence mean to me?

To me, true independence isn’t just about standing alone; it is the freedom and power of choosing our people, building meaningful connections, and thriving through collaboration. It’s about forging bonds by choice and growing stronger together, no matter where we are in the world. 🌍❤️

Today, let's celebrate that spirit of unity and freedom!

🇸🇪🇮🇳 If you are in Sweden, join us today as we celebrate Indian Independence Day together with Roots kultur och välmående förening

Happy Independence Day!

The grey skies over Uppsala today really made me crave something comforting. There’s something about this weather that makes a hot, spiced meal feel just right.
I’ve been in the kitchen getting a fresh batch of our potato masala ready. I’ve kept the spices warming and the ginger bright, just the way it needs to be to help take the edge off this chill. There’s really nothing like the smell of fresh, golden pooris coming out of the oil on a day like this.
If you’re staying cozy at home, I’d be happy to take the cooking off your hands. Ready to cook whenever you’re ready for a warm meal.

You can order through WhatsApp @0735619746 or visit our website - secretspices.se , and we’ll get it to your door while it’s still piping hot.
