TONIGHT: Te Kลkฤซ Big Band One is the advanced jazz ensemble class of the New Zealand School of Music at Victoria University of Wellington, where developing musicians hone their skills through bi-weekly rehearsals, recording sessions, and numerous gigs in Wellington and throughout the country, most recently in collaboration with Orchestra Wellington.

TONIGHT: For The Mokos - a night of bass, beats and community - raising money to get Tamatha Paul over the line in Wellington North, and to help change the government.

This one's for the mokos: for the babies not yet born, the kids growing up in a city and a country we still have a chance to get right. Come dance for a future where our grandkids inherit warm homes, a liveable climate, decent public transport, and a government that actually looks after people instead of grinding them down.

With Ritual Heaps and Class War on the Dance Floor

Aotearoa / New Zealand adventurous music label iiii Records is very excited to release an epic double LP by shape shifting, tectonic plate lifting supergroup Farewell Spit.

Named after and recorded at Lyttletonโ€™s iconic music festival Port Noise, with an additional track recorded at Wellingtonโ€™s Meow, the album is destined to be an instant classic and a work which stands as utterly unique in the oeuvre of each of the band membersโ€™ catalogues โ€“ all of whom are prolific and iconic figures in New Zealand music.

Over four sides of the double LP Farewell Spit traverse vast territories of sculptured sound, noise and melodicism, always a cohesive whole whilst eschewing instrumental tropes of flamboyant technical bravado or noodling twaddle.

Class War on the Dance Floor
The solo project of Pลneke musician, Marika Pratley (Moody V and The Menstrual Cycle, Heleyni). A tapestry of vaporwave, chiptune, ambient, lo-fi, retro synthwave and hip hop. Marika is inspired by artists from Wendy Carlos to Peaches, Eno to Merzbow.

Ritual Heaps makes noise for psychic defence.
Ritual Heaps uses synths, delay, microphones, and feedback.
Ritual Heaps emphasises duration, body, and discomfort.
