What a wonderful afternoon at Saree Stories!

More than 30 people joined us for an afternoon of colour, culture, stories and some really lovely conversations. It was great to see people asking questions, sharing their own experiences and enjoying the stories behind the saree.

A big thank you to Tasman District Council - Te Kaunihera o te tai o Aorere and Creative New Zealand for supporting this event and helping make it possible.

Special thanks to Cultural Conversations Nelson for creating such a beautiful saree vibe in Nelson, and to Nelson Provincial Museum Pupuri Taonga o Te Tai Ao for welcoming us into their amazing space.

It was a true collaborative effort, and we’re grateful to everyone who came along and helped make the afternoon so special.

✨️What an amazing day at our Block Printing Workshop at Suter Art Gallery! ✨

A huge thank you to Andy, Sarah, and Heidi from Make It Nelson, who have been working hard over the past few months to make this happen. Their dedication truly paid off, and we could clearly see the success of their efforts.

As facilitators, we focused on delivering the workshop, and thanks to their hard work, we were sold out and had the right audience for our workshop.

It was great to see everyone enjoying the workshop and trying block printing. The lovely feedback from participants and the thoughtful gift from Make it Nelson made the day extra special.

🎨 Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so memorable!
