Hi Everyone!

STOATS ALERT

November & December is an especially active time for Stoats.

Many more juveniles going out to feast. A good time to maintain & reset traps.

Reach out if you'd like extra support.

November and December mark a busy time for stoats. Research shows juvenile stoats often disperse in late spring and early summer, which can lead to increased activity and higher chances of encountering traps. Studies show many juveniles are caught in November and December as rodent and bird prey become more abundant.

If you’ve noticed more stoats in your traps recently, this could explain it. Now’s an ideal time to check and rebait traps to help protect nesting birds and their chicks. Every stoat caught makes a real difference for our native wildlife. 🐦🌿
