A new venue for me, The Curator’s House in the Christchurch Botanic Gardens, and what a wonderful space for a ceremony!

One of the most special touches of the day was that each guest was asked to bring a flower, with all those beautiful blooms coming together to create the bride’s bouquet. 🌸
Such a gorgeous way to include every guest in the ceremony and have a little piece of each of them standing alongside the bride and groom as they said their “I dos”. A beautiful reminder of the love and support surrounding them as they begin this next chapter together.

10 years ago today I had my own spectacular wedding. Although my dress didn't get fluffed (😄 Kerry-Anne, Janene) and the potatoes weren't cooked for tea, it was a fantastic day!

Did you know that celebrants have to reapply every year to remain registered as a celebrant? This includes completing and passing a test covering our rules, boundaries, responsibilities and requirements.

I’m very happy to say that I passed my test! 🎉🥂

Another year, another tick of approval — and I’m looking forward to continuing to create and celebrate those special moments with you all. ❤️

Busy day for me today! 💍✨

First on the agenda, I had the absolute pleasure of officiating a beautiful wedding ceremony in Darfield. What a special way to start the day! ❤️

Next, I met with a lovely bride and groom to chat about their upcoming wedding in November. I’m so excited to be part of their special day!

And now, I’m back home doing a little research into the different types of wedding ceremonies. There’s always something new to learn when it comes to creating a ceremony that feels truly personal and meaningful. 💕
