A Beautiful Celebration for a Beautiful 80 Years 💙 On this day, a couple of years back, I had the absolute joy of styling Fran’s 80th birthday celebration — a private, elegant gathering of her nearest and dearest. ✨ Fran’s favourite colour is blue, so we used soft blue runners and napkins on the tables. But the magic was in the details...

🌸 Two unique centrepiece designs brought the room to life:

A bespoke crystal lamp, 💎 handcrafted by us, placed above a fragrant arrangement of white roses, freesias, and cheerful yellow daffodils. Set atop a mirrored base and sprinkled with acrylic ice, it sparkled under the restaurant lights.

A silver and glass pillar candle holder, with florals on one side and delicate tea light candles on the other — so wherever you sat, there was something beautiful (and a little bit different, depending on the angle) that guests could admire. 🕯️

And yes, the fairy lights and a few cheerful balloons made sure Fran’s grandchildren had something to smile about too. ✨🎈

This was more than just a party — it was a celebration of a life well lived, styled with love and elegance.

💫. 🌟 Here is my table setting decor tribute to celebrate Matariki

💫 The black is representative of the night sky. I used a table runner that has silver stars embossed on it, so the fairy lights underneath bring them alive. The second silver runner under all of that represents the milky way. The blue symbolises water from the ground we walk upon, while the tall blue glass vase links the water up to heaven and the night sky.

💫 I loved making the bespoke black candle holders as it's very difficult to find anything quite like them in commercial shops.

💫 I did experiment with black table linen, but white linen seemed to make it seem far more festive and family friendly. I kept the greenery simple, with ferns and eucalyptus so that the hero of the setting was the black, blue and the lights.
