The beginning of winter and another change in season for the garden. Still some lovely autumn colour around despite some frosty mornings. Still too soon for us to start the major winter cut back. Enjoying a quiet period in the garden and making plans for spring.

Today's rainfall has brought a welcome respite to the garden following a couple of hot days. We have been pleased to host several arranged group visits by appointment the last few weeks. Groups & small functions are welcome. The garden is having its Autumn flush with Roses, Asters & Dahlias.

Despite the mornings having an Autumn feel, there's still plenty of colour in the garden. It's a busy time, picking fruit from the orchard and preserving for the winter period. Plenty of chutney has been made from the vegetable garden. Being self sufficient and practicing organic principles is important to us. Happy gardening !
