New Zealand's leading exponents of Americana and country blues, The De Sotos have been building one of the most credible back catalogues in NZ music for two decades. Debut album Cross Your Heart took Radio New Zealand National's Album of the Year. Theme music for two Marcus Lush TVNZ series. Americanafest Nashville. Waiheke Jazz & Blues Festival 2026.

And they're currently recording their next album. Four-part harmonies, Hammond organ, Gretsch guitar, and a setlist that moves between their own originals and the artists who shaped them: Neil Young, Tom Petty, the Allman Brothers Band.

Warm, deep, and completely absorbing. The De Sotos set the afternoon scene, so come early and settle in. Southern style food, delicious drinks, and half-time line dancing from the Razza Dazzlers. A muso loving mid-winter music fest in the heart of Matakana.

NZ's most exciting blues rock trio is coming to Matakana. Doors 4pm. Home by 10.

BB & The Bullets are a Whanganui trio who play like they've got something to prove. Live, they draw comparisons to Stevie Ray Vaughan, Johnny Winter and Jeff Beck. Expect raw, loud, tight blues rock...Albert King, Muddy Waters and BB King alongside their own charting originals.

Sharing the stage on the night is The De Sotos Auckland's finest Americana and country blues act. Veterans of the Waiheke Jazz & Blues Festival, Americanafest Nashville, and National Radio's NZ Album of the Year.

Half-time line dancing from the Razza Dazzlers, southern style food, cold drinks flowing, and fires roaring from 4pm.
