If you haven't caught Big Elastic live yet, that needs fixing before Legacy Fest 2027.

Their track "What's the Time" plays with the idea that time stops mattering when you're properly connected to the people and the moment you're in, which is about as good a description of a Legacy Fest afternoon as you'll get.

Phil Stoodley on guitar and live looping, Zane Greig on drums, but the sound they build fuses rock, funk and reggae into something that fills way more space than a duo should. They're known for flipping classic tunes into mashups you don't see coming.

Follow them, love them, support them Big Elastic and see you there.

Rumpus Machine dropped their first ever music video in Jan, for new song "Someday", filmed out in the bush clad hills of Titirangi. If you caught them tearing up the Legacy Fest stage last year, you know what the hype is about.

"Someday" is one of six new originals landing through 2026, and it's already proven itself, taking Rumpus Machine to 2nd place nationally out of over 1000 bands in the NZ Smokefree Rockquest.

This is a local band with big talent and they have earned the following with fans rocking Rumpus Machine tees at most gigs!

Heads up. If you haven't heard White Chapel Jak yet, fix that before Legacy Fest.

Original track "Good Time" is the song to start with. Warm guitar hooks, soulful groove, vocals with real weight behind them, the kind of track that sounds effortless but sneaks up on you.

They're on the Legacy Fest 2027 lineup and honestly, we can't wait to see them back on The Stables stage.

Follow them, love them, support them, and see you there.

Big respect to NZ On Air for backing The Black Seeds year after year, culture-shifters who keep supporting Kiwi music where it counts.

This latest track's a treat. "8 BIT" takes that heavy reggae groove The Black Seeds are known for and runs it through a nostalgic arcade lens, courtesy of director Jeremy London and the team at Method Visual.

Watch it, subscribe to The Black Seeds' channel, and better yet catch them live at Legacy Fest 2027 in Matakana this summer!

Follow them, love them, support them, and see you there.

Four siblings, one very loud rumpus room. The four-piece rock outfit has torn through covers and original songs alike, blending rock, funk, blues and metal into a live set that's earned them a countless gigs across Auckland and festival circuits nation-wide.

They've already built a following on our stage, including pumping up the crowd at Legacy Fest 2026. We love them so much we had to get them back.
