This Sunday, we're opening our doors to the public for something special.

Fires lit. Candles on. Baby grand in the dining room. Andy Keys on keys and vocals from midday playing reimagined classics and crowd favourites in the most intimate setting he's played in a while.

Andy's been touring and playing on the Synthony and Kaylee Bell circuits. This Sunday, he's bringing it back to something personal, right here in Matakana.

🎹 We are so excited to announce Andy Keys as the resident musician for our new "Lazy Sundays" series at The Stables Matakana this winter.

Andy just came off an epic stadium run with Kaylee Bell and Synthony. and now he's bringing all that energy back to a newly restored baby grand piano, roaring fires, and long Sunday lunches in little old Matakana.

One of New Zealand's most sought-after musicians. Keys player, producer, musical director and music teacher. Twenty years across the country's biggest stages alongside The Feelers, The Exponents, Opshop, Stan Walker, Don McGlashan and Sonar Flare.

Live piano and vocals through The Stables' macrocarpa dining room. This is a long Sunday lunch done well!

Something a little different is coming to The Stables Matakana.

Thursday 2 July, we're hosting an intimate evening of live classical music, a beautiful bistro menu, delicious drinks, and the talent on stage is seriously impressive.

Nocturno Duo pairs two of Auckland's most decorated young classical musicians: Yune-Sang Yune, a Korean-Kiwi flautist who made her professional debut with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, and Lora Kurusa, a Hungarian classical guitarist, sponsored artist of acclaimed luthier Domenic Roscioli, and winner of the New Zealand International Classical Guitar Competition.

Together they perform an evening of classical and romantic repertoire, flute and guitar, up close, in one of Matakana's most beautiful venues.

Doors open from 6PM with a bistro menu on offer.

The Stables recently hosted the Corvette Club for their Christmas function.

With ample parking, a buffet lunch service, and flexible indoor and outdoor spaces, the event flowed seamlessly from arrival through to the afternoon.

Guests were able to move between the main space and garden areas, creating a relaxed and social atmosphere.
