After all the stress and drama of the downed trees, we took time for a bit of a stroll around the garden this afternoon and reminded of the beauty and spring colour around us.

While we feel blesssed no buildings, animals or people were damaged or hurt by the unexpected hurricane force winds which hit us on Thursday, we did suffer some major casualties and are undertaking a massive clean up job (which is far from over). Amidst all the drama we had the wedding of our lovely Te Maia and Lisa on Saturday ( thanks for your kindness and understanding).
We took a drive through Southland last night and were saddened by the absolute losses and damage throughout the district. Such devastation but so lucky no lives were lost.
We would like to extend a huge thanks to all those involved in the cleanup so far including our number one son Mike, Jonathan, Logan, Pam, Shannon, Hayden, Kyra and young Jimmy. And lots of kind friends and relatives checking in, we feel humbled. 🫶
